Watch him over 90 minutes, he is massively over-rated. He is an MOTD player bit like Gamst

I have watched him many times, many times for Denmark and Arsenal. He is not as bad as people are saying. They probably just don't like his attitude.

It's his first touch and finishing that does it for me, I can often forgive a suspect attitude. Birmingham fans were delighted when he went back to Arsenal. Anyway, this is all a moot point as he is not coming here

an 18/19 year old striker on loan scored 11 goals for them!! "big club" ungrateful

Why is that ungrateful? Birmingham fans are entitled to their own opinion, should they just be grateful that a top 4 club gave them a player? 11 goals in the Championship as well, not great

Ok ok, but how many matches has he played for us in the PL, compared to NB for Arsenal ?

I do not think he is coming, but i would rather have him than Righters !!

We can all agree on that one, ha ha. I would rather throw a Blue and White shirt over a traffic cone than see Rigters again

Bendtner wouldn't give us enough goals and at £12m is way overpriced. Not sure his ego would let him take the "step down" to us when his agent is trying to pretend he's off to Bayern. More or less the same with Adebayor - I'm sure he'd score for us while he felt like playing, but I doubt he'd want to go to a mid-table side.

the member you quoted, was also entitled to give his take on Bendtner. I think Bendnter was at Brum for 6 months, still new to English football and inexperienced. 11 goals, be it in the championship still needed him to score those goals. Bendtner might not sign for us, but there will still be many top sides chasing his signature.

Benni, Bellamy, RSC, Bentley, Friedel etc, players who were struggling with form, or not getting a look in.Then came to Rovers, less pressure and a hunger to prove the doubters wrong and succeed. Sometimes its not always a bad thing, to join a club, where people don't expect much.

Agree. We'd be a match made in Heaven.

I will be the first to hold my hand up, where ever he goes, if it comes off. Of the list you mentioned above, Friedel was the only one that i really did not want, so i do have previous in the area of getting it spectacularly wrong on a player :-)

My point about Birmingham fans opinion was they were in a position to give a totally unbiased one. All teams think there best player is better than he is and the worse player worse than he is (except us, we are totally right about Julie :-) )

there were questions raised about Bellers, Benni,RSC as to will they be motivated and will they be able to be a success. At a club with less pressure(still pressure), those players who have the ability, can flourish and be a success. I'm not saying I want Bendtner here, but he will want to prove Wenger wrong imo.

Yeh he pulled a few rabbits out of the bag did Souey. I agree - didn't see why he wanted Friedel when we had two good goal keepers at the club already. Was also disappointed when he bought a certain turkish rangers player in rather then Berkovic. Just goes to show how wrong you can be sometimes :-)

You raise a good point here. Who was the last player we actually bought on the way up? Who was the last player that we actually nicked off someone?

When the news does come, i hope it'll be of somebody i've never heard of before for a relatively low amount alla Roque Santa Cruz (1st time round) or Benni McCarthy. I pray to God that its not that we've signed some very mediocre 9 goals in 38 games 'proven premier league striker' like rodallega or bendtner for an absurdly inflated £10m+ fee.

This is after all what we hire scouts for, is it not?

Christ, i just had a vision of what life would been like had Eyal come here instead of Tugay. Not pretty.

It also works that other way. Had massive hopes for Duncan Shearer, Craig Skinner and Grabbi. No one let me down like Dino Baggio though, a dream shattered, ha ha
