Rather optimistic given that one of the best young players in the country has just baled out, our Captain and inspiration is likely to follow and Duggie Mk3's Dad's just come over from Canada.

We have the money to spend from the players that have been sold. We are trying to tie players down. We offered Jones an obscene amount to stay. Centre backs aren't that hard to replace and we'll hopefully come out the other side better off with a few players that we have been missing for years.

Kean came in and instantly recognised that JJones was what the squad was lacking and hopefully he can bring a few others in who can improve the team. I'm not saying he's our saviour and we could perform terribly next year. For now though I am rather optimistic...more so than for many a year.

I would ask you to think rationally what we'd be doing if we were under the Trust at this very moment in time but I believe your judgement and insight are too poor to be able to comprehend that situation.

Shut up.

Shut up? Thats rude and unecessary, been on brave pills have you?

Could you point out which part of my post was untrue or inaccurate? On the other hand yours appears to be based on nothing but speculation and conjecture.

That 3rd point is absolute rollocks. Wrong thread obviously but if she used this forum to gauge opinion then Kean wouldn't be anywhere near Blackburn!

They're gauging opinion but not going all Villa over it. If you let fans on a forum make decisions for you, you end up rejecting perfectly good managers and hiring McLeish in a panic.

He has a good point with 'shut up'. Speculation and conjecture is what forum sites are all about. Oh yes, and talking absolute c##p.

Fabregas would be a good signing for us. lol

Northern Rover on twitter has said

3) Best way to get message across to Mrs D is post on brfcs, Venky's PR says that she reads posts regularly & uses it to gauge mood of fans!

In that case she will think the fans are a right depressed miserable bunch.

Spot on laugh.gif

I'm sure they know enough about forum sites to realize that there are always a fair number of halfwits around.

"Fair number" is a little on the conservative side when it comes to Rovers fans.

About 45% of our posters IMO.

I know this is off topic but I haven't seen much on topic for the last 240 + pages and thought it might lift the doom and gloom a little.

Steven Gerrard interview on SSN about 15 minutes ago.....

Interviewer - "Was Man Uniteds 19th title inevitable?"

Steven Gerrard - "I don't know about inevitable but I think we all knew it was gonna happen"

What an absolute gem, I reckon P.E. was his strongest subject at school and not English

Apologies again for going off topic!

Venky's ambitions for Blackburn Rovers were like tumbleweed ..... dead, with no substance and easily blown away.

Another 24 hours gone....where's the money ?

But Jim, who else is spending money? It's all speculation at the moment, a whole 17 days into the transfer window. Just under 2 months until the season starts, and we have until September 1 to make any additions!

Time is on our side ;)

you know I've got time for your posts jim, but making stupid remarks like the above do you no favours. We have never conducted our business so early in the summer, give them time.
