When did Fergie meet Phil Jones? Because Fergie has been in France on holiday since Friday.

Jones only told Rovers he was interested in going on Monday. And went to see the OTHER clubs in the race in a whirlwind tour. Pretty sure he didn't meet Fergie between Monday and this morning.

The timing of that summit may yet be interesting to discover

Disapointed with Jones but to be fair to the lad it was a 5 year deal from the champions? He wont get into their team IMO, so maybe a loan back to us whilst he waits for ferdinand to retire?

Careful is that your opinion or fact. If the latter, what is the evidence (not what you believe). Even though I (I also think others on here) 'believe' this to be the case. What is the evidence?

I honestly never thought he would choose to leave!

It's a sad day for football in general in my opinion.

If a home-grown and lifelong fan of the club has turned down the chance of a full season in the starting line-up to sit on the bench of a team he could walk into in a few years, there is no hope left whatsoever.

We should be proud to have produced such a talent but the fact he was from Blackburn will soon be long forgotten.

Get used to it. It's only like Rooney leaving Everton...... Except of course that Everton with Moyes at the helm would have got half as much again for Jones. We really are crap at player trading. Again this can be done with iPads, iPhones, laptops, computers... Seems rather ridiculous that for us to do anything (apart from to sell our best players it seems) he must go over to India first. What happens if an agent contacted the club offering a decent player and needed an answer by the next day?
