No, he's a crap player. Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd and Spurs have no idea what real talent is.

United signed the best young English centre half 9 years ago for £30m.

Leeds had bought him 2 years earlier for £18 million. It's not the same thing.

Jones will be straight cash.

Relations between the two clubs - and managers - are not what you would call great.

That's the good news.

Unfortunately there will be more bad along shortly...

That's Samba/Hoilett gone then

Entirely?

 Its a clause, they had NO choice. :!: Seriously get a grip!

its not a problem if Jones leaves, I'm more annoyed at the fact that Kean will sign RSC with that money. can we afford to waste money? forget the clause, fact is we are losing a top player, and more than likely to replace him with rubbish

Of the five clubs you mentioned, all play in europe. With home grown squad rules and as insurance against further rule changes by uefa that they all know will happen it isnt even a risk on potential. It's a risk they have to take on English players.

Jones is not in the same bracket as Rio when United bought him. Not even close.

To be honest keeping Hoilett and Samba are more important to me as we won't see the same sort of fee for Hoilett and Samba is the best centre half at the club and woulkd be very hard to replace.

Jones is a better defender now than Ferdinand has ever been, Ferdinand was a good footballer, very comfortable on the ball but the number of times Vidic has to pull him out of the mire is unreal, IMO he was never a proper defender.

Can't afford to lose Samba too...

He was the more likely of the 2 to leave anyway.

So that's the summer transfer fund (if it exists) taken care of .........two new centre halves.

On the topic of Pedersen its good to see he looks after himself pre-season, I know Norway have had a game or two but he has also been training with a club over there.

Good lad.

I think your bad mood is clouding your mind, why not go back and read what I posted again.

I'm saying that there are people on this board who no matter what, will mock or openly diss others whose only crime is to be very disappointed about one of our best players reading the club. How someone can have a go at a fellow fan for being passionate about their club I don't know.

Point taken. but the bit in bold is happening if any of us write things that are seen as anti - venky or Kean.

Both sides of the coin have a right to an opinion. Yet both 'sides' slag each other off, and choose not to agreee to disagree or even have a debate about the subject.

People hear things from within the club. But are limited to what they can say. Instead of caling such liars, as has often been indicated. People should just note what has been said and choose to believe it or not.

Well then you must be gutted that he's leaving but he is only a good player with bags of potential. He is not the Anelka and Drogba destroying better than Rio super defender you portray. He's in demand as he's English, young and decent. 16 million is good business for all concerned in my opinion.
