No offence like, but I was nearly sick at the thought of those 2 at the heart of our defence, both are terrible!!!

If we sell both Jones & Samba then we should be splashing some cash with the £33m we should have available.

I kno I'm dreaming here, but anyway... Neven Subotic from Dortmund along with Mammadou Sakho from PSG get my vote to replace them... those 2 would be immense!!!

By the way if we don't sign Jermaine Jones, we need to be looking at Moussa Sissoko from Tolouse... what a player!!!

you 've been playing lots of football manager right?

sakho would cost a shitload. the same goes for subotic. And if they want to leave their clubs they can go just ANYWHERE

for the love of god I hope we aren't gonna blow this rather unfortunate wad of cash we are seemingly about to inherit on RSC or any of the other loanee cr*p weve had at ewood this season, we need absolute quality replacements since we are letting 2 of our prize assets go

Don't understand what's taking so long with Jones.... if the clubs have agreed on a price and he's passed his medical, what's the hold up?

Waiting for the morning to announce officially, then the media can go mental for a day :)

Absolutely.

There ARE players out there who can take us forward, but I don't trust Kean to find them.

Didn't no he had signed for Juventus. Going to be an interesting summer now we have money, People are slatting Steve Kean already but he didn't do bad in January, Rochina looks like a bargain and Jermain Jones was vital for us staying up. Roque was a huge flop and we have yet to see what Formica can do so 3/4 isn't bad.

I said I was dreaming fella... but anyway, watching UEFA Cup & Champions League is where I saw those players for myself last year, I kno they would cost a fortune, but we are gonna have to spend to be able to replace the players we look to be losing aren't we???

Although I do play FM, and it's database is pretty comprehensive, I wouldn't be so silly as to come on here going on about players on there I'd never seen play at least a full 90 minutes, it only took you 10 seconds to come out with some remark about it didn't it.

But as we are on the subject of new players, here's a random Montenegro international playing in Russia, if we want a ball playing midfielder the guy is called Nikola Drincic... he's not even on FM for some reason, but he's brilliant!!!

Would be an excellent replacement

Wouldn't mind cheeky bids for three other Real Madrid players who are set to leave, Royston Drenthe, Gago and Pedro Leon.

agree, when i first saw this story i thought he could be worth a punt, good ball playing centre back and takes no prisoners. his wages are proberly around the 40,000 mark at real, unsure if that would be a problem or not. guy hits a great free kick though.

Would suggest one out of four. Rochina is untested in PL as is Formica! Rochina's skills can be found by the dozen everyday on the beaches in Spain.

Perhaps Salgado could find one or two for us!

Maybe his tricks but can them people showboating on the pitches do what he has done in the reserves this season and in his cameo's if so we should have scouts over there right now.

Judging by this forum the suicide rate in Blackburn is guna go through the roof tonight. People just need to lighten up.

As my girlfriend says to me, its only a game

May as well throw my 2 pennies worth!

SAMBA for the majority of last season was an absolute nightmare, some absolute circus defending at times, letting balls bounce, bad positioning, short pass backs, being skinned for pace etc but a couple of good performances against West Ham and Wolves seem to mask and make people forget. Remember, when he first signed?.. He did things simple THEN Hughsey must of told him to "get it down and play it", when he tried he was an absolute nightmare. Being a centre half under Allardyce when the ball is constantly in the air is fine but when you're required to play it out from the back it's a different story and HE WILL BE FOUND OUT at Arsenal. 12 million for him that can be spent on a good striker we have all been desperate for? I'd happy with that.

JONES i am not at all surprised at. There is no loyalty, it's a term long forgotten in modern football. Being a professional footballer is a job and like any of us, if a better one comes along we'd take it. You have to take the opportunity while it's there. I can't say i'm upset or disappointed as the boy has, in total, played only a season of football for us and IF that money can fix the squad then i see that as more beneficial (providing signings are of the required standard).

JUNIOR is the one i'd be upset in losing. From what we've all seen this season he could be a match winner for anyone and i hope talk of him being uneasy are false and very much hope the talk of him signing a new contract to be true. He has the potential to be a worldie.

What i am disappointed in is, receiving my season ticket renewal pack and discovering my clubs best players are being sold. Very bad timing and it does put a bad taste in your mouth.

I have faith that THE GOOD TIMES ARE COMING and once again our club will defy all and once again be a decent competitive PL team next season. No matter what happens let's keep looking up and hope our owners and Keano spend the money wisely... Let's all be a little more optimistic and cheer up eh?!

COYB!

Ok here goes, first post but long time reader on another name... Losing Jones AND Samba isnt a disaster if the money is spent wisely (unlikely).

At the moment our midfield and front line havent changed apart from losing the loanees, back line:

GK Robbo/Bunn

DR Salgado/Emerton

DC Nelsen/Hanley/Samba/Givet

DL Givet/Morris?

With the potential of Samba and maybe Givet leaving, imho leaves us a starting CB and a starting LB short (even if givet stays!)

Add onto that our crying need for a striker as well!!

Pick32 - as you know, reserves are a world of difference from P.L.. Difficult to lighten-up when we have seen, IMO, the systematic dismantling of our club in the last 6 months. Sounds like your gf plays some nice games - suggest you save your money on a season ticket !!!!

Bit harsh on Samba in my view, he has made a few errors in a Rovers shirt but I thought he was fairly solid throughout this season. They say centrebacks mature with age and I can only see him getting better. Passing isn't a big part of a centrebacks game but I never thought of his distrubtion to be too bad I think he would fit perfectly into the way Arsenal play. He can bring the ball forward from the back but he's also capable of doing the basics right and just clearing the ball when there's danger.

Jesus this is part of football! We have lost players before and replaced them, we will continue without them!

Jones - excellent prospect but we don't need someone that good in our defence as we are a mid table team! Our offensive losses cost us more such as bentley, duff, Bellamy and if hoilett decides his career is best away from Ewood park!

Samba - we will miss alot of qualities but again he is replaceable! He came from nowhere it is now time to unearth another gem!

The club is operating exactly the same as it was under Williams and Finn at the moment, all the staff are just getting on with it as they did when they were there! Paul Hunt is a football man as i reveived an email from him yesterday and Steve kean could well turn out to be decent after listening to some insider comments and looking at the in-depth analysis in the changing rooms from the united game!

Keep the faith! We still have a very strong team but have a few gaps that could well be filled by a transfer kitty in excess of £50m!!!!!!!!

Make no mistake, losing Jones and Samba is an absolute disaster.

Absolute b0ll 0cks to the money, we are losing a heart beat, or two, or three..............

To read some of the posts on here, it's as though the missus has dropped a couple of beakers on the floor and we can replace them in Morrisons tomorrow.

Make no mistake, IMO, we will be favourites for the drop !!!!!

All im saying is the young lad looks like a talent and Its harsh to judge Kean now. I will be there with my Family season ticket in the Blackburn End cheering on the team. This is the time they need the 12th man most.
