Where?

There is no reason not to trust him 47er. I've given my reason as to why I trust him. You haven't given yours.

Before you do say the RSC signing, I'll say again, it was a gamble 7/8 of 10 people would have taken. Unfortunately it did not come off. We didn't suffer because of it.

I'd like to see where you get those figures from. Did anyone want him back?

Can you say more about the 'possible' ugly side of this transfer.

Not yet.

There is evidence being gathered about an aspect of the deal that may have one or two people involved ducking for cover.

I am talking about how Man U have gone about it...

Leave it there for now.

Do you see the deal going through?

Only obstacles I can see is if the Glazers aren't releasing the funds, medical or payment method.

I actually have---many times! There are so many reasons not to trust him. We agree Santa flopped---Kean wants to resign him. Secondly he's extended Roberts' contract and wants to keep the other 2 striker flops. That's what he said.

Thirdly, when we were fighting relegation he wasted the transfer window by buying 2 players we didn't need and couldn't use.

Fourthly, the team was crying out for a creative mid-fielder which we haven't had since Bentley left. he didn't sign one, he never tried to sign one yet Bentley went to Birmingham!

So, yes, I fear the worst with this goon in charge on the basis of his admittedly small record.

Finally I don't trust him because of the ludicrous spin he puts on all disasters and i don't believe a word he says. Like "Jones will only go if someone pays a record fee" etc.

Now why do you trust him again?

Secondly he's extended Roberts' contract and wants to keep the other 2 striker flops. That's what he said. Which 2 flops? Kalinic (signed by Sam) and Benani (signed by Sam)? He can't get rid of them if there are no offers for them. On the Roberts issue, he's hit and miss. We can both debate till we're blue in the face and still not come to a conclusion as to whether it was a good deal or not.

Thirdly, when we were fighting relegation he wasted the transfer window by buying 2 players we didn't need and couldn't use. He signed two midfielders, both of which are creative. We could use them but he's used his brain and not thrown them in the deep end to keep their confidence high. You say in your next point he didn't address the creative midfielder issue. Contradiction in a can.

Fourthly, the team was crying out for a creative mid-fielder which we haven't had since Bentley left. he didn't sign one, he never tried to sign one yet Bentley went to Birmingham! He signed Formica and Rochina for the future, there was no real NEED for one as he showed faith in Junior, which paid off. Are you saying that midfield was our weakest position last season? Olsson, Jones, Nzonzi Hoillet. Many would say that's the strongest midfield we've had in years. Agreed?

So, yes, I fear the worst with this goon in charge on the basis of his admittedly small record.

Finally I don't trust him because of the ludicrous spin he puts on all disasters and i don't believe a word he says. Like "Jones will only go if someone pays a record fee" etc. So you'd rather him come out and say "we've got a £16m clause so come a long and bid away"?

Now why do you trust him again? Why don't you again?

we were fighting relegation he wasted the transfer window by buying 2 players we didn't need - Rochina and Formica you mean?

Fourthly, the team was crying out for a creative mid-fielder - So he's signed 2 creative midfielders that we didn't need, and we were crying out for a creative midfielder.

Keep it coming. I love it!

I'm guessing that P.Jones turned up to the meeting with Kean on monday to tell him he wanted to go to MU, this was before the club had heard anything from Man Utd or given them permission to speak to the player.

So Jones has agreed the move, in dubious circumdstances. Has Fergie agreed to pay the price?

Although there appears to be a couple of last minute issues with the Jones transfer, realistically it will still go through. Good luck to him at Utd, I hope the move pays off for him. Gutted that he decided to leave us though.

One straw to clutch at however is we supposedly now have a substantial transfer fund for this summer and I just hope (perhaps beg)that Kean has the ability to tempt 4 or 5 decent players to join. We do not need squad players, we need to improve the team.

My wishes (and realistic targets I might add) with positions below are what we desperately need:-

Centre Back:- Johnson or Dann from Brum, Collins from Villa, Hangeland from Fulham, Evans from Utd or as a last resort Upson from West Ham. Alternatively if we want to use Givet as a centre back get Warnock from Villa.

Midfielder:- JJ, Larsson, maybe even Bentley again. I dont think we need any more defensive midfielders like Reo-Coker

Striker:- Someone who knows what a cows backside actually looks like, let alone being able to hit one with a Banjo! Defoe, Keane, Dembele, Odemwinge,

If (and its a big if) we manage to get some of those players listed above as well as retaining Samba and Hoilett I would be relatively happy.

Fergie does have previous.

Remember the shenanigens with Berbatov transfer!

or , as Nicko has said fergie was hoping to nick him for less than the £16m , Jones was having a medical and thrashing out personal terms before a fee was agreed , Rovers are now playing hardball and want the full amount up front and maybe even threatening to report Utd to PL for not going about the transfer in the correct manner ? maybe we are even asking for Diouf on loan for another year as a sweetner

J.Jones was the player we needed - steel in the midfield. He was a very good signing and i assume that you agree there.

Rochina and Formica were ones for the future. Rochina looks a very decent prospect and would have featured more often if he hadn't injured himself going into the last couple of games.

Roque failed.

I'd say thats 2/4. Formica coming good will make that 3/4.

Solely on the basis of January, Kean didn't do badly. Im not saying he didn't brilliantly either mind, but he did enough to show that to simply say he has no idea how to buy a decent player isn't fair.

If he re signs Roque or Mame Diouf then i'll seriously question his judgement. I'll still be surprised if either find their way back into Ewood park again though.

SEM: We think you should sign these two young proespects Rochina and Formica

SK: But I've never hear....

SEM: WE SAID, YOU SHOULD SIGN ROCHINA AND FORMICA

SK: OK.

:D

Actually, if Anderson tells Venky's that two young players he's found will be worth several times their current value in a few years, then that scenario might not be too far from the truth.

I have a feeling that Kean had more input in the temporary loan signings, whereas the two permanent ones were very much Anderson influenced.

If Venky's were spending hard cash then why wouldn't they get their highly paid consultant to do the work? He's done a decent job by the look of it, I'll be amazed if we don't recoup the £4 million it cost to bring them both here.

Here is my unfounded conspiracy theory....

After being sacked, a bitter Sam Allardyce rings his best mate Fergie and encourages him to look at Jones. Fergie, getting the glowing scouting report from BFS and wanting to get a bit of revenge for his mate plans to put a bid in January but his injury in December scuppers that plan.

Fergie moves anyway and contacts Jones in January and encourages him to sign a new deal but insist on a release fee and that he would be watching him with a view to signing him in the summer. Jones agrees and manages to get his paymasters down to £16m and signs.

The rest his history.

If he wasn't leaving for Man Utd he'd be leaving for Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs or Man City. I'm not sure Big Sam alerted all those clubs...

Nah I reckon the only reason he spoke to those clubs (if the whirlwind tour thing is true) was to make it look like he was actually considering his options. I reckon this move has been on for longer than we think.

Are you barking? We needed a creative mid-fielder TO PLAY IMMEDIATELY We signed 2 who couldn't. Anyhow i thought Rochina was a striker?

I take it Big Sam has well and truly bitten back at the club for his bessie mate Fergie!

tut, tut - was ever thus - but how do you prove tapping up?

A tad speculative? Gav and I demand proof.
