Weren´t we close to sign Norwegian centre half under Sam? Never heard from him after that. Henchoz is from Switzerland.

That would be Tore Reginiussen I believe, went to Schalke but has been on loan at first Lecce in Serie A and then Tromso in Norway.

My mate tried to tell me Ferdinand was coming as part of the deal. I slapped him square in the face. (my mate, not Ferdinand)

Be nice to your mate, no violence. :D

At least tell him back that Jones is coming over for 25 million.

Ive not heard James McCarthy from wigan being linked with anyone recently, i think hes a real talent to solve our midfield issue, wouldnt be exactly expensive and we have the appeal of him not having to move areas.

englighten me if we have no chance with him, but id be more than happy to use half the phil jones money to bring him in

I think Wigan have already stated somewhere they wouldn't sell McCarthy for less than £20 mil :o

One remarkable transfer.

One surprising day.

The story will be out in Mirror.

As much as can be written.

Football, bloody hell.

Man Utd have include a couple players in the deal and the 16 million pounds. Players are JE and MBD.

I only guessing so we will see at 11pm

I'd rather just have the money, Diouf's never gonna be a premier league player.

I think he looked like a very good premier league player in parts last season, especially the start of the campaign.

a lot thought that about Bentley when he was here on loan! Turned out alright though didn't he!

i think diouf is a useful squad player, if he can work on his game i.e, technique and tweak his finishing to be a tad more clinical than he could turn into a good good player, his pace is electric and in a game where defence's look tired he is a real threat. i wouldn't totally begrudge him being involved in the deal.

Nah he's just a very gifted athlete.

I never thought Bentley didn't have the football skills to make it he just seemed a bit light weight at times. Diouf hasn't got a football brain , he's just a runner.

Can we make this thread just members round 11ish please modes

Or just go straight to the Mirror site? Or to the pub. What night is it?

I see your point but I'm not convinced. He might be worth the risk depending on the price of course...I still think he could make it.

Diouf was absolutely stunning for Molde in Norway before he went to Manchester, so the ability is there, but he is no Premier League player.

id like to see somthing like 18mill+future add ons, a percentage of profit from any future sale + J evans or smalling, Def not MBD(hes never going to be more than an average squad player for me), I think ive been playing to much FM11?.

more realistically though im starting too feel a little less hopfull though, it will most prob just be 16mill+mbd.

Exciting start too transfer window though!!!;) for a change.

And I think he told norwegian media that he don't want to be at Blackburn, he wants to go back to man utd. He was not happy.... I doubt he want to be a Blackburn-player next season.

with Nicko posting in this thread rather than the Phil Jones one, am i right in thinking it has nothing to do with jones to United?
