Absolutely no chance. Plus it's about two weeks since Kean said he would talk to Jr.

Rover & Out Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 we should want nothing to do with MBD, we have enough strikers in our squad who can't finish as it is!
Taggart Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 we should want nothing to do with MBD, we have enough strikers in our squad who can't finish as it is! Not sure i understand this, when he had a run in the team at the beginning of teh loan period, his finishign was top notch, I remember him runnign through on goal and casually chipping the oncoming keeper, can`t imagine Roberts or Benjani doing as much. Towards the middle/end of season he played out on the wing, and although he missed a couple on the run in, some of which came at him quite quickly, I didn`t feel his finishing was anywhere near as poor as Roberts IMO
Hughesy Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Newcastle are muppets! We would get something similar to that if we let him leave for free due to his age (compo). Roberts on twitter: Q - Do you think David Hoilett will play for a top club at some point? A - YES as a striker!! Q - Who's the best finisher in the squad and you cant say yourself? A - Junior will develop into a top finisher Future striker for us??? Another line - which is interesting.... Q - Who would you choose to replace Phil Jones A - Grant Hanley

I'd genuinely rather he left on a free in 12 months.
Ripleys love child Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 The player is yohan cabaye, just signed for Newcastle

If he didn't have pace, he'd be in the Championship.

Hit the keeper and looped up making it look like a lob. ###### finish. That's if it's the goal I think you're on about. Against Arsenal was it?
RoverMad86 Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 hope we stay away from mame diouf - he is terrible He is better than you. Give the lad some credit, he could be a good player for us and just needs a bit of mentoring and support. Being played as a winger, which is not his position, didn't do him justice. He is probably a 6/10 striker to be honest and although we could do better, he would be a welcome addition to the squad.
Ferrit Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Could have been bolton away? I echo others, we should not be bringing diouff back.
blondie Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Bolton, brushed a defender, it looked a good goal until action replay
T.J.Newton Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 MBD may not be terrible but he wouldnt enhance the squad(we had him all seaon and almost got relegated), which is what kean says he wants too do with any signings made.
Hekla Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 So Nicko says a remarkable transfer? That must mean this is from our side. The Jones deal is basically done so this can't be anything remarkable.
budha Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 So Nicko says a remarkable transfer? That must mean this is from our side. The Jones deal is basically done so this can't be anything remarkable. Red-top remarkable. We're probably getting an extra £500k when he makes his full England debut.
hawkiiz Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I think the Jones transfer is the remarkable one, and because of that, this has been a special day. No new signings in is my guess. Possibly Samba leaving is the remarkable transfer?
RailwayRover Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Red-top remarkable. We're probably getting an extra £500k when he makes his full England debut. That could buy us a samba with change to spare, lets have some optimism
RoverMad86 Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Sky Sports News reporting that we have offered £4million for Aurier.
cn_barlow Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I think Nicko was referring to Jones to Utd as the 'Remarkable transfer'....due to what's been going on behind the scenes.

Wigan Away, the case for the prosecution rests, 2 open goals, 1 blazed wide, one air kick, absolute bobbins at PL level, we should just loan him for the Norwich games, he plays against them!
Ferrit Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 That could buy us a samba with change to spare, lets have some optimism To be fair, how often is a player found for 500K that's premier league caliber?
daveoftherovers Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Sky Sports News reporting that we have offered £4million for Aurier. Which one? There are 2 of them, brothers... Belay that, found it, Serge Aurier Weren't Citeh chasing him at some point?
beerwins Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Sky Sports News reporting that we have offered £4million for Aurier. The ivorian right back?
