Just heard some interesting news.

Venkys reason for delaying the Jones deal is apparently NOT for more money.

They still want to keep Jones rather than sell him.

Great source..

Personally I think we will end up getting a better price but not 25 million and we won't keep him.

His head is at Manchester United even if he actually isn't at present..

But well done to Venkys for fighting to keep him.. rather than just letting him go like the Walker Trust fund did.

5 posts and another poster with sources ,JHC is there only me with no sources...IF YOU HAVE OR ANY OTHER PEOPLE NAME SOURCES OR STFU ITS BORING NOW!

What's all this about,if I am going to renew my season ticket,at these prices you should renew if there are no signings,if you are a genuine Rovers supporter you follow the team whatever, and that includes who owns us,who the manager is,and whatever players are here,we are talking 11 june and your moaning already, like many others on here,we average 25000 gates, but we still have about 8000 core supporters who would support the team whatever.

Lets just wait and see who he does sign, you might just be pleasantly supprised............

Even if there are no signings? Travelwise combined with my Season Ticket I shell out a hell of a lot to follow Rovers and for that "investment" I expect to see the owners reciprocate with some sort of signing or declaration of intent on what they plan to do.

The season ended 3 weeks ago and plenty of other clubs are making moves to strengthen their side yet we can't even get past the basics. Hoillet declared publically he was willing to sign a new deal a couple of weeks back so what are we playing at?

If come July we have sold Jonah and Samba without tieing up Hoillets contract and having signed no one else then I am going to keep my 200 odd quid in my pocket and pick and choose the games I will go to next year.

I was a huge fan of RSC first time round and happy to have him back on loan. But the loan showed his legs are gone now and with them his confidence.

Crazy to sign him and let Kalinic go.

Don't want RSC back either. If it goes through it must only be because no other striker of worth will sign for the current set up.

I would love to be proved wrong.

and he did not even come close to scoring a goal or making any meaningful contribution.

In one of the first couple of games did he not hit the post, and he definetly hit the bar against B'ham, that was pretty close. Was also challenging Tamas for the own goal vs W.brom.

IF we pay 1p in a fee for crocky then weve been mugged. Could anyone on here or rovers people tell me what he did to earn a rovers contract on a permanent basis? yes he was good first time round and has been injured on/off since .His return was woeful ,poor finishing and the most sacralige of all things was he didnt put any shifts in .He wandered around the pitch like he was in lalala land and couldnt be arsed. He earned god knows how much..1,2 ? million pounds and didnt score 1 goal. There are better ,fitter payers out there....BAD BAD SIGNING IMHO.

WE COULDNT SCORE GOALS AND IT APPEARS VENKEAN AS BEEN TOLD TO KEEP IT SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you name your sources you tend to find that you don't get any more information from them.

Also completely agree with Philip on RSC/Kalinic.

TOO MANY ON HERE THO WHO CREAM OFF TRYING TO SAY THEY ARE CONNECTED ,ITS PATHETIC.

i am going to use the figure of £3m for the sake of argument and To be fair £3m gets you nothing these days , Danny Graham , Craig Msckail Smith , those are the type's of strikers £3m gets you for Anything less than £3m and its would be a good deal..... (RSC would still be an improvement on Roberts and Benjani) anymore than £3m you can forget it

After Roques last spell with us i started to rate Benjani more highly

I can accept poor form but Roque didnt look interested during his loan spell, never put a shift in, we dont need those kind of players, if he was set on coming to Rovers permanently, he would have put a real effort in.

My understanding is that a permanent signing was agreed with Roque quite some time ago!!

The flip side Kelbo is that even though he was carrying injuries RSC was on the field trying to help us, he only played 65-70 minutes in a number of games as the doc would not allow any more time.

A fully fit RSC is worth a gamble at 3-4 million IMO, the biggest question mark is obviously will he be fit?

If we do sign Roque back I'd expect it to be less than £3m and ideally a heavily incentivised contract rather than the kind of stupid wages he was on at City. On those kind of terms he's worth a punt. If we're paying more than that and giving him £40k+ a week then Kean is an idiot.

Why is kean the idiot? He is surely having his strings pulled?

Unbelievably stupid, IMO, if we sign RSC.

When will we learn, injury prone players are always that - we should know with Dunn & Grella.

IMO, just squandering money.

Can I just point out it's their money. I wouldn't pay £200 for a pair of trainers or £20,000 for a car but others do nd what they do with their money is absolutely nothing to do with me.

And can I point out that if you spend £20,000 on a car it affects no one but yourself but if Venky's squander £xm on poor players and Rovers struggle as a consequence then it affects more than 20,000 supporters ?

Quoted for truth. As much as I don't see Santa Cruz as a waste (maybe I'm being naively and STUPIDLY optimistic, but somewhere inside me I'm hoping he re-captures the form in his first season at Blackburn), I do have to agree that the supporters here are whining if Venkys and Kean don't spend their money wisely because it DOES affect us and the team we are supporting.

I hope you understand, Sir Gumboots.
