Did you, or did you not attempt to persuade me, and other posters, about your insider knowledge, by telling us all about you being the best man at certain someone’s wedding?

You did this several times, yet the information you wanted us to believe wasn’t true and hasn’t happened?

I have no real axe to grind with you Kelbo, in fact I enjoy most of your posts, but this insider knowledge routine isn’t on, especially with the anti venkys spin you keep throwing out. By all means dislike venkys, but don’t tell fibs about them please claiming inside sources, thats tiresome.

As for my credibility? I post opinion 99% of the time, so take it or leave it, I have no insider knowledge whatsoever.

Venkys have invested £20m+ to buy the club, I struggle to see what sinister intentions they could have.

They're not going to be able to strip the club of its assets and ride off into the sunset, without incurring substantially damaging media attention.

The success of their investment is based on them improving the club and increasing its value.

The gesture on the final day shows that they are aware of the importance of the fans.

Personally, the appointment of internal management has little to do with fans.

The highlighted areas I can agree with, the final days gesture, in my opinion, was to blinker the mistakes they have made, as for the appointment of managers, its everything to do with fans, every football club in the UK has from time to time, appointed and sacked managers because of supporters opinions and protests, it will always happen, Venkys havent really latched on to the true importance of the supporters and their treatment of supporters to date has been shoddy.

I am not disputing the highlighted areas, they have been badly advised, unfortunately, they have not learned much unless the new appointment Kamy spoke of is the right kind of person, a proper football man who is not a 'yes man' to everything Venkys say.

He must be able to give his opinions fairly and accurately and whilst they will naturally make their own decisions, they really must take on board much of what he says.

Imy, Jim is just a cantankerous old troll,nothing Venkys ever do will be good enough for him. It's clear he doesn't like change (like several others too..). He aspires to the status quo,even if that status quo was turning into a slow death by a thousand cuts.

The head in the sand metaphor probably better describes him,it's akin to sticking his fingers in his ears whilst humming loudly and pretending everything has just stayed the same.

i suspect the reason tom has left, is because he doesnt agree with the new regime or how they are doing things. if he's the man of integrity that many on here says he is - it's pretty clear to me that he's decided he doesnt want to be a part of whats going on.

now that the season is over, I dont agree with many of the decisions they have made - the biggest of them trusting an agent to advise them on how to runa fotball club, but from my understanding, he's out of the picture now anyway.

Lets see how they get on with a full transfer window behind them and then lets judge.

If they sell Samaba - lets make sure the money is incredible, and we spend that money and more...wisely.

Finally, from a business perspective, i suspect ROVERS was an incredible deal.

buy it for 25M, knowing that you could sell your central defender in a years time for the same price.

take the money out of the club and just invest the sky money moving forwards.....the servicing of the 25M debt would easily be manageable! who says having a club can't be a good investment !

1. You have accused me of calling you a liar- can you please quote me to prove this?

2. You made a comment in the middle of a debate about the behaviour of Venkys and the offer document with: "Wonderful to watch the apologists for the new regime in full flow." Could you clarify what you meant by this.

3. Will you be apologising for wrongfully accusing me of something? You expect a teacher to, well I expect OAP's to as well.

I expect to get no reply (as Abbey is still waiting)/be insulted/get a response with misdirection stamped all over it (metaphorical)

Firstly how can you say that its not the truth? At the time of writing it was but have you changed your mind in the past because I know I have, does not make me or them liars.

What on earth have Venkys done for you to suggest that Jack Walker's statue will be removed? That is scaremongering at its worst.

Have a look at XTP's post which highlights how many lies Pafell in the offer document?

Finally you said "They have done nothing at all to win over the supporters of Rovers." Would you not agree that by offering Rovers fans the cheapest tickets in the PL and football league they have done exactly that? Spending 70k on the fans on the last day is seen by you as a bribe not a generous gift to the fans!

My biggest gripe with your post Paffell was that you called the owners liars and your points do not support that at all, example: "Sam, JW and now Tom Finn being sacked proves one thing" TWO of the three were NOT sacked- the other one was paid in FULL when he had months remaining on his deal- JW was given an appropriate compensation deal too- these are not con artists- even though you try to make them out to be.

Instead of jumping on one post look and read the others. I have been talking about the takeover offer document. You are right anybody can change their minds. But I suggest that if it is acceptable to change their minds with regards to Sam, JW and TF - then they can change their minds on anything else mentioned in the takeover offer document. In that documents it mentions the Jack Walker statue and the Jack Walker stand. If you consider it acceptable for them to change their minds on one thing then everything else is open to them. Sacked, encouraged to resign (as I do not believe they did so willingly)they have been removed. Do you really believe that JW had lost interest in Rovers? Because I know he had not.

It is not scaremongering in anyway shape or form. I am stating that venkys have not stuck to the agreement in the takeover offer document, with Sam, JW and TF, that was given to the shareholders. So the question that can naturally be asked is, What next. Is it going to be the stadium or the Jack Walker statue? for example.
