Kelbo Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 A few years ago, gate money was split between home and away clubs, the smaller clubs would play at the larger clubs in away games and get a good payday from the game, this ensured that the money from football was distributed more evenly, then, after the big clubs lobby to the FA/Prem it was decided that the home clubs kept all the gate money after expenses. Anyone fron Portugal, Spain, France know the rulings which exist in other countries?

Derby Blue Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Do you mean league or cup games. I know the rule here exists still in cup games to split the gate revenue (approx 45% each and 10% to the FA) but never seen it mentioned for league games.
