Ossydave Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Woodgate has played the full game for Stoke and looked excellent. I wonder how many games they'll get out of him this year. Could turn out to be one of the best deals of the summer. Can't see him staying fit for long. Fellow sick-note Dyer managed a whole 2 minutes or so yesterday for QPR, another shocking waste of talent.
Backroom Tom Posted August 14, 2011 Backroom Posted August 14, 2011 Don't hear many Stoke fans complaining about their style of play..........whoops. Nope but watching them makes me realise why other fans hated us under Sam, who cares what other fans think though success is success.
tony gale's mic Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Stoke aren't former Premier league champions And the award for the most irrelevant post of the day goes to...
Hughesy Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 3-1 United, Rooney to score 1st bet for me today. 1st part has happened - 1-0 Rooney
John Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Utd playing some slick stuff in patches, West Brom team looks quite average, no?? Interesting to see how Long gets on.
Ossydave Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 United will walk this league, gonna put a huge bet on them
Backroom Tom Posted August 14, 2011 Backroom Posted August 14, 2011 Funny that De gea is targeted as a weak link before playing a real game! Looks dodgy though

imy9 Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Funny that De gea is targeted as a weak link before playing a real game! Looks dodgy though De Gea is known for being weak with long distance shots, shown it twice now in two games!
Ossydave Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Funny that De gea is targeted as a weak link before playing a real game! Looks dodgy though Looks very suspect, a few early clangers can completely ruin a goalkeepers career at a club too.
Backroom Tom Posted August 14, 2011 Backroom Posted August 14, 2011 I did say he looks dodgy, Fergie has gifted teams a new confidence against them here.
Nelsta Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 There was an intresting stat from last season. David Degea was beaten from outside the box more times than any other keeper in La Liga. Looks like that stat could haunt him in the prem.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Doesn't matter how slick Uniteds football is if they have a complete butterfingers in goal.

Backroom Tom Posted August 14, 2011 Backroom Posted August 14, 2011 3-1 United, Rooney to score 1st bet for me today. 1st part has happened - 1-0 Rooney Hope you put a bit on as I reckon your cashing in tonight again. Think we need a betting tips with hughesy thread!
Hughesy Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 3-1 didnt happen - oh well!! Did however get a 28/1 last week on 3-2 in the charity shield. Cant see De Gea keeping too many clean sheets unless he improves his concentration
philipl Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Apart from the OG, I couldn't help but feel we could have done with Steven Reid on Saturday.
mhead Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Agree on Steven Reid - looked after him for 2 years. He passed on the 'injured' jersey to Vincenze and now is as fit as a butchers dog! Did any Premier League side win at home at the weekend? And we have the defence to come back.
Amo Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Apart from the OG, I couldn't help but feel we could have done with Steven Reid on Saturday. Yeah, he was always so reliable in the past...
Neil Weaver Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Did any Premier League side win at home at the weekend? Nope, think I heard somewhere that's the first time that's happened in the PL. Just need Swansea to defy the Arab billionaires this evening and that'll make it a full house.

BRFC1995 Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 manchini loves his defensive midfielders, theres a better team on his bench how the hell does Barry get pitch time in that squad.
cravenblue Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 I can see the swansea wingers giving us the run around when we play them
