roverandout Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 what a great young manager lambert is, comes accross as intellegent and tactically aware, what i wouldnt give to have him as our manager.
Darwen Rover Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 what a great young manager lambert is, comes accross as intellegent and tactically aware, what i wouldnt give to have him as our manager. Agree there I suggested him in the next mgr thread!!
Backroom Tom Posted September 26, 2011 Backroom Posted September 26, 2011 what a great young manager lambert is, comes accross as intellegent and tactically aware, what i wouldnt give to have him as our manager. Nice guy as well, when we played them last season I sat a couple of rows back next to the Norwich dugout. He was stood by the dugout and a lady said she couldn't see, he overheard her turned around and was really apologetic and moved to the other side.
Neil Weaver Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Norwich winning isn't good for us. Tenner says Sparky is managing Sunderland soon, their fans are starting to bay for Bruces blood No chance of Lambert as folk have said, but can see Brucie being available soon too Tom. Desperate times call for desperate measures......
arbitro Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 The pace with which Norwich played was terrific and Sunderland couldn't handle that. Lots of second man running, options for the man in possession, quick one-two's and a high tempo from back to front. How I wish we could play like that. I hope the imposter was watching and realised that we must be the most unfit team in the league.
Brfcrule1 Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I have to admit looking at the statistics over the last 3 seasons I feel a little sorry for Venkys they thought they were coming into a league where loads of goals would be scored each game but the last 3 seasons now have shown that not to be the case. It seems the 40 point mark is still applicable to get to asap it seems though over the last 3 seasons you get one maybe two big thrashings a season. The league has evolved into winning by 2 goals each game what happened against L'Arse winning 4-3 hardly ever happens and was sheer luck we won that game. I also can't believe Steve Kean can't see that either he is very naieve or stupid. I also believe what Kamy said in the podcast is right the fullbacks are getting no cover from the wingers surely Kean must see there is too much space between our fullbacks and wingersand wee need to squeeze that area of the pitch. I also feel looking at our performances the side seems unbalanced and could do with Petrovic starting, for Belgrade he is a superb defensive midfielder as I feel right across defence we are being cruelly exposed surely SK must see this & look to rectify this?.
cn174 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Terrible decision by Atkinson in the Liverpool derby to send Rodwell off. Took the ball clear as day. He did catch Suarez, but seems he's fit and well now
Miker Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Terrible decision by Atkinson in the Liverpool derby to send Rodwell off. Took the ball clear as day. He did catch Suarez, but seems he's fit and well now Completely rubbish red... he got the ball and I don't even think he struck his foot in the process. Has to be a yellow at worst, especially that early in the game. Suarez is a dirty illegitimate. I hope Moyes appeals that, referees should be fined for decisions like that. Absolutely ridiculous.. I feel for the Everton supporters and players.

It's all irrelevant guys, Liverpool have already won, their squad is worth considerably more than Everton's, dont you guys know anything about how results work in football.
Backroom Tom Posted October 1, 2011 Backroom Posted October 1, 2011 Worst decision since that team got that penalty at Ewood recently, Everton was it I've noticed already this season more of this 'it evens itself out' stuff being true. Liverpool just missed a penalty, easy decision to give it
Backroom DE. Posted October 1, 2011 Backroom Posted October 1, 2011 I despise Suarez, good player but he's a little rat-faced cheat as well. Suarez: this is today's red card: ref should be ashamed.
Backroom Tom Posted October 1, 2011 Backroom Posted October 1, 2011 Nothing more satisfying in a game than seeing Suarez chasing the ref wanting a handball that wasn't given. Something I just thought from today and watching Norwich on MOTD, do our fans wear less shirts than other fans or is it just because of the halves we don't stand out as much, City and Norwich look like nearly every fan is in a shirt. Pointless observation really.
CheeseOnToast Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Some woeful decisions by Atkinson in the Merseyside Derby (the penalty not among them). Fuming about that red card, but how many times have I seen this happen to Everton against Liverpool... still not as bad as the Clattenberg derby like. I was hoping to take comfort in some of the results today, but that didn't quite happen. Maybe Arsenal will lose on Sunday. That always brings me some satisfaction.

Pointless observation really. I've wondered that myself. Never catch a lot of shirts in the crowd sections the camera hits once in a while.
Stuart Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 It's normally so cold people have coats on over their shirts. There could be something in the halves theory though. City fans were a sea of blue though. Virtually the whole DE swathed in light blue. Further pointless observation. Watching the poznan is mightily impressive, although not worth watching 4 times in quick succession.

Very poor form really from the Citeh fans. Also I don't remember them selling out the Darwen End when they were ######. Glory supporters one and all.

Also I don't remember them selling out the Darwen End when they were ######. Glory supporters one and all. I think it's the fact that EVERYONE joins in. One mass of fans as one. We can't even get every fan to join in one of our songs/chants. Even at away games. And they had massive crowds even in League One. I don't particularly like them but I think you are way off the mark calling the glory supporters. Mad as a bag of cats granted but not glory supporters.
Backroom DE. Posted October 2, 2011 Backroom Posted October 2, 2011 Bolton are getting torn apart by Chelsea, they look almost as bad as we do.
adopted scouser Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Who's worse at the moment, Rovers or Bolton? Bolton 0-4 now, but we are the worst at the moment. Just wondering, is your Charlie Brown pic actually baldy Kean as a boy, with the sudden realisation that everything he touches turns to shidt ?
Backroom DE. Posted October 2, 2011 Backroom Posted October 2, 2011 Bolton have a few players missing through injuries/suspension but buying N'Gog was a big mistake, he's awful. Pratley not good enough for the prem either. Their ginger goalie looks incredibly dodgy as well, at fault for at least two of those goals IMO. The fullbacks are getting murdered too. Bolton will have lost 10 of the last 11 I think Sky said after this match... shocking record. They were terrible at the back end of last season, even we beat them.

They've always had a good following, remember when they were in what is now League 1, and they were getting 30,000 on a week at Maine Road. Martin Petrov hasn't been helping his full back out at all. Down Chelsea's right Boswingwa and Sturridge have had a lot of joy!
