BuckyRover
Good post. In summary, two managers who realise that the result comes first and the manner of victory a distant second. Twas always thus. Pity the cognoscenti in the Blackburn End and on here could not see the bleedin' obvious. In Summary there are only two great managers (who realise winning is important) in world football Allardyce and Mourinho?

braddock
Is the Bolton bid for Zaha desperation? Looks that way for me. You'll never get him for a decent price in this window, and he's not going to keep them up. I wouldn't want him playing for me in a relegation battle. No consistency as yet and if he comes against some full backs who can actually tackle he's gonna find it really difficult. Haven't seen enough to say he can consistently deliver the final ball either.
Mattyblue
It reminds me of when Wigan bought Victor Moses, he hardly played for 12 months.

Drover
Think zaha overrated myself. He does a lot of running about but at the end of the day his finishing is average and his delivery is usually quite poor. He's pretty greedy too. Won't be able to clam this in a few months but hoilett is better than him (when he's interested) by a mile

thenodrog
Must we dance these steps till the end of time? MOVE ON. Why don't you just say "Sorry everyone.... I screwed up. I was completely and totally wrong and I now realise that what I know and understand about football could be written on the back of a 2nd class stamp with a felt tip pen. Not only that but my foolish actions provided some of the bullets that Dick Dastardly fired in Dec 10." You could urge others to sign their names to it too. Majiball and Bucky would be next in the queue of football know nowts. You know you'd all feel a lot better for it.

Jimmy612
Young United starlet Ravell Morrisson has signed for WHU. Wonder how he will do there under the guidance of Allardyce? I expect he will ease him in like he did with Hoillett? Alternatively throw him in like he did Jones if he feels he is ready? Interesting to contemplate how he convinced him to make that move. He must have quite a desire to play first team football... either that or he's driven by money and WHU have offered him a far bigger wage than at OT? Jimmy612
Mourinho a poor man's Allardyce? Wow. There are no words. Rich Mans** In a way I understand. They play very similar systems (4-5-1/4-3-2-1) and have the same opinion on the game (winning is all that matters). Having not follwed much spanish/italian football I am basing my knowledge of mourinho on his time at chelsea and the odd games I have seen him manage e.g. vs Barcelona with both Inter and Real where on both occasion I have seen Mourinho's team play pretty defensive/ugly tactics to try to overpower Barca. Granted playing the best team in the world, but with some pretty outstanding talents themselves. If teams are better than you, do whatever you can to beat them. Saw that too. He seemed to be pretty ###### off to police officers who spoiled his moment. They just signed Jelavic. It should be our fan hugging the post. Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 31, 2012 Moderation Lead Share Posted January 31, 2012 A fan got on to the pitch and handcuffed himself to the post (of the goal Everton were attacking, so occupied by Joe Hart), and the game was stopped for 5 minutes. He's going to wake up to a ban and a fine, idiot.
