West Ham still atop the league with Morrison joining them today.

Their fans still aren't happy I expect Sam will get them up then be replaced halfway through next season, he must be the most chronically under appreciated man in football

Out of interest how come rovers home games never start at 7:45 even wen not televised it's always 8, is it a police decision or a club decision?

He will get promoted then get replaced almost immediately.

They really don't like him.

Odd isn't it? Anti Allardyce perceptions seems to spread like a virus amongst the most vociferous football followers, invariably those with lower than average IQ and especially those who have never known what it's like to kick a ball in anger in their lives. I honestly can't remember him doing anything other then a good job and getting his team to punch way above their weight at any club he's been at. He did extremely well at Limerick,Notts Co, Blackpool, Bolton, BRFC and WHU and when he left NUFC in mid table they went on a slide which ended in relegation. As I say odd. A glance at his record here shows that his abilities in resuscitating relegation bound clubs are just what we need http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Allardyce

A lot of people have always been down on BSA including the Cockneys but I've read the http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2 Knees up Mother Brown, talk about a forum with a lot of participation and I tend to see that he has definitely swayed over the fans. Having said that forum has a lot of participation, often the comments are not of high quality, they've even taken some measures to cool it down. A fairly big club but more often than not, they straddle the line to relegation and did not have a good experience with Avram Grant.

------

To that Liverpool game, yeah, they won, Caroll scored, well, Bolton beat them last time out, so they really needed to do something.

Ipswich defeated West Ham earlier in the year 1-0 at WHU, so Ipswich just has West Ham's number defeating them 5-1 in the last game. I don't know if that makes it better but West Ham had to rebound from one other bad defeat and 2 game losing-streak this year as well. That they did so and are now sitting in first place making me think Sam Allardyce still did a good managing job and that the Hammers are prone to these sorts of bad showings, maybe a sign that they should avoid the playoffs and strive for the top 2 and that is perhaps stating the obvious.

Last December:

West Ham 1 2 Burnley

Reading 3 0 West Ham

So, as the league play has intensified, West Ham is losing more than during the first half of the season. Read that however one wants too. Still not too bad.

2 teams they have defeated since are Forest and Pompey, not very good clubs. So, I gather the Hammers' form, even sitting in first, could be questioned.

Somehow they are in 1st ahead by 2 points in front of Southampton. Fellow I know who follows the Saints was telling me Southampton have lost a number of games lately because their best player got suspended and then got an injury. http://www.soccerway.com/teams/england/southampton-fc/ Looking from the roster, he must have meant the striker R. Lambert.

For the Championship, Birmingham is coming on strong, Cardiff City has only 4 losses all year. 2 less than the next club, 'Boro with 6. Bluebirds might find their way into the PL. I believe they've lost 2 straight years in the playoffs hence they sacked Davies over that from last year.

10th place Leeds sack manager Grayson, last match losing 1-4 to Birmingham. On the surface, not sure if that is a good decision.

On the surface, I wonder if any women were at this football match in Egypt that turned out to be so tragic. Very sorry to hear this. I don't see any in any of the pictures. I have no idea what it is like there, of course in some of those nations like Iran women do not attend the football matches.

I am wondering that maybe the "Arab spring" and "peaceful protests" that were in Egypt left protesters frustrated and if this may have effected this game of El Ahly and their rival. This is only conjecture with nothing to really back up such speculation.

Very hard to get to the top and even harder to stay there. We discovered that when we dropped from top to 6th and had to win our final match to even make the play offs in 91.

Do you think Joey Barton forgets who he is sometimes?

Recently on twitter he has ranted about FA punishments and play acting and now sayin Terry should take his punishment like a man.

Is this guy footballs biggest hypocrite?

MON at Sunderland, 19 points from 9 games, very impressive - John

I always appreciated MON but he is proving himself way beyond what I ever expected of him, 19 points from 9 games, 27 points from a team that was floundering is phenomenal, stunning. I guess it makes Steve Bruce look real good (sarcasm obviously).

If he did exactly what he has done in his career but had a foreign name hed be praised and paid a lot more.

But cos hes a bit overweight, a bit "common" (down to earth in my opinion) and brummy hes totally under rated.

QPR down to 10 and now 1-1, probably be a good result for us to be fair. Keeps both teams in touching distance. Just hope it stays the same.

Cisse will also now be banned against us.

Ricky its all over for Rovers.

One point alone, is now one point far too many for Rovers to catch up when you've got shyte like Orr, Modeste, Petrovic Scott Dann and the other Kean signings playing for us with the exception of Yak.
