Backroom Tom Posted February 25, 2012 Backroom Posted February 25, 2012 WBA 3 Sunderland 0 ... 58th minute, Sunderland has rolled too much under MON for me.... I don't understand, they have been fantastic under him
BiggusLaddus Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 That Keith Andrews has scored again. Always rated him...
Backroom DE. Posted February 25, 2012 Backroom Posted February 25, 2012 Does that mean WBA's last two games were a 5-1 and 4-0 victory? not bad.
Josh Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Does that mean WBA's last two games were a 5-1 and 4-0 victory? not bad. 9 goals in 2 games and we've still scored 4 more than them, just shows what having an awful defence does for you
Stuart Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Wolves come back from 2-0 down to take a point and put us back into the bottom 3.
Backroom Tom Posted February 25, 2012 Backroom Posted February 25, 2012 Mark Hughes refused to shake Jols hand after Fulham beat QPR, at present he looks daft for leaving Fulham in summer, be nice to see them go down. It made me laugh that some people were championing chanting his name against QPR, how quick people forget how he couldn't get out of Ewood fast enough.
LeChuck Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 It made me laugh that some people were championing chanting his name against QPR, how quick people forget how he couldn't get out of Ewood fast enough. He was here four years, I don't think that comment is very fair.
Hughesy Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 He was here four years, I don't think that comment is very fair. And in that time showed an interest in the jobs at Chelsea, Newcastle and City
Stuart Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Sounds like Mark Hughes is the new Samba. Let's forget all the good bits now he's no longer here.
Mattyblue Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Slagging off Hughes? Good grief. Best manager (bar Kenny) we've had in decades, he gave us some absolutely fantastic times. He should have had his name sang, considering the utter garbage we watch today.
Backroom Tom Posted February 25, 2012 Backroom Posted February 25, 2012 I should have said I am a big fan of Hughes but most people hated the way he left yet suddenly forget it. Fantastic manager here pulled off some absolute masterstrokes (Mokoena and Nelsen in his first season were game changing) but I do think throughout his managerial career as of late he has shown a lack of class. Having said that I would have moved hell and earth to bring him back
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 And in that time showed an interest in the jobs at Chelsea, Newcastle and City You forgot the interest he showed in the 'Spurs job.
Audax Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I don't understand, they have been fantastic under him Sunderland have been rolling really to well along with O'Neill IMO, they've been nothing short of phenomenal. I quite like O'Neill. This brings Sunderland down to earth and really, a bad loss, this Odemwingie Striker for WBA though may not have been playing up enough, I know he got a hat trick last week and know he scored their first goal today and a 2nd one too. Earlier in the season, Hodgson did say Odemwingie wasn't doing enough. Odemwingie, that means 5 goals in 2 games, http://www.soccerway.com/matches/2012/02/25/england/premier-league/west-bromwich-albion-football-club/sunderland-association-football-club/1117297/ Okay, he must have 7 or more likely 9 goals all season. http://www.soccerway.com/national/england/premier-league/2011-2012/regular-season/ http://www.soccerway.com/players/peter-odemwingie/2074/ Not meaning to answer your comment in such depth! So this means, Odemwingie isn't even in the top 10 or 15 scorers in the PL even with 2 such phenomenal games, it is amazing how players and clubs can be so hot and cold. Note, how WBA at times has really struggled this season.
Commondore Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I should have said I am a big fan of Hughes but most people hated the way he left yet suddenly forget it. Fantastic manager here pulled off some absolute masterstrokes (Mokoena and Nelsen in his first season were game changing) but I do think throughout his managerial career as of late he has shown a lack of class. Having said that I would have moved hell and earth to bring him back I didn't have any real qualms when he left us for City, but the way he jumped ship at Fulham was absolutely shameful and has come back to haunt him since.
Audax Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 League Cup final today, I am thinking Liverpool can play very well at times, think they'll nick it. Cardiff City who beat us, remember? Seem to be a very good club. Possibly a shot to win it and of course, the papers are all saying how Steve Gerrard's cousin plays for the Blue Birds, think his cousin's name is Anthony, plenty of stories on it.
Stuart Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Friedel having another great game for Spurs. I bet Venkys are gutted he isn't at the club now. Imagine how much they could have sold him for... EDIT: Sorry Brad!
Stuart Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Wow, I'm REALLY sorry Brad. 5-2 Arsenal with 23 mins to go!
cn174 Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Wow, I'm REALLY sorry Brad. 5-2 Arsenal with 23 mins to go! jinxed him. Don't think there's much he could've done about any of them tbh.
John Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 What a match, some quality finishing plus defending from the school of Kean.
Stuart Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Liverpool win the Carling Cup after the worst set of 10 penalties I think I've ever seen.
Backroom DE. Posted February 26, 2012 Backroom Posted February 26, 2012 Liverpool's players should be embarrassed. And yes, the penalty shoot out was horrific. Think both sets of teams should be forced to watch the African Cup of Nations final to see how to take penalties.
