dubdubdub Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Well if I'd been offered two wins from two and two clean sheets with a win for QPR then I'd take it. That's their big win. Hopefully that will be their last against the supposed big teams. Yeah but we were going into this game with those two games having happened and prospectively being six points clear at this point in time. Granted I would have taken it also.
braddock Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Yeah but we were going into this game with those two games having happened and prospectively being six points clear at this point in time. Granted I would have taken it also. True, but at the end of the day, with the fixtures they have, I don't think they'll catch us anyway. They've had their luck.
Majiball Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Mackie as well, the lads done good considering where he started.
deryck guyler's spoon Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Rovers defeat at Bolton and it's all to play for .......... Adopted Trotter now are you? You can barely conceal your delight.
dubdubdub Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 True, but at the end of the day, with the fixtures they have, I don't think they'll catch us anyway. They've had their luck. If QPR can beat them, albeit having been battered then there's hope for us at home against them. Especially as it seems that Liverpool have less and less to play for in the league as each week passes.
47er Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Bugger! Not out of it yet are we? Very hard for Wolves and Wigan now but a defeat on Saturday and 3 teams can still take that 3rd place.

jim mk2 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Adopted Trotter now are you? You can barely conceal your delight. Statement of fact. P!sspoor post on your part.
rovers11 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Good result for QPR after being two down. I thought QPR would win before the match as liverpool are overrated. Can't see them beating the other 'big' teams they have to play, and o'neil will have sunderland fired up for the weekend after a poor display against us so don't expect them to get any points there. That leaves 4 games to get wins from. I'm convinced Bolton will beat us at the weekend but we do have some nice games coming up against wigan, Norwich and west brom. Bugger! Not out of it yet are we? Very hard for Wolves and Wigan now but a defeat on Saturday and 3 teams can still take that 3rd place. I'm not worried about the QPR result. It's in our hands and we are playing well and only have three games in which I believe we can't take points from - man u, spurs and chelsea. Wigan, Norwich, and west brom will be the games we get the required points from.
rovers11 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 What? Since when? Liverpool... they cocked up against Bolton several weeks ago and they cocked up against QPR. Annoying thing is that they'll no doubt beat us when we play them next month. How could you doubt me el tombro Check back to my post in the thread earlier today.
rovers11 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Bold, bold statement. This time of the season is for unexpected results. You're thinking like BFS, here. Don't forget that this season has seen us win away at Old Trafford and lose at home against Wolves. Nothing is certain. Mentality is key this time of the season. You want to be playing teams who have nothing to play for. West brom and Norwich are safe, Wigan will be down by the time we play them. No way liverpool would have lost a two goal lead if they had something to play for. The other top teams QPR are due to play are either going for the title or champions league.
Backroom Tom Posted March 21, 2012 Backroom Posted March 21, 2012 The worst thing tonight is qprs mindset, if they lost they would have been panicking now they'll be full of confidence although no reason why we shouldn't be
Backroom DE. Posted March 21, 2012 Backroom Posted March 21, 2012 The worst thing tonight is qprs mindset, if they lost they would have been panicking now they'll be full of confidence although no reason why we shouldn't be After beating Manchester United 3-2 at Old Trafford we contrived to lose to both Stoke and Newcastle in the next two matches. QPR were dominated for most of the match tonight and they will know they got lucky. Have to say, though, Sunderland at the weekend is as good a game as they could get IMO. Appreciate O'Neill will want to get them winning again but with the FA cup replay upcoming they'll still be distracted and a few players might even be rested.
Clitherover Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 We just have to remember we are nowhere near out of the woods yet, weren't Birmingham in a similar situation at a similar point last season looking fairly comfortable and look what happened to them?. A draw at Bolton would go a long way towards avoiding relegation and if I'm being honest I'd take it now.
Audax Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Rangers Celtic on, we usually don't get SPL, good show... The Old Firm.
roverandout Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 cisse proving what a class act he is again, if only our 'owners' had shown some form of ambition in the summer!!!
alexanders Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Jelavic have been a success so far. Coming from the SPL I would like to compare his stats to our own Goodwillie. Jelavic for rangers: 30 goals in 45 matches. Goodwillie for Dundee: 51 apps , 20 goals. Jelavic stands out.

A cup of beans Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Yes, but he cost 6M. A crucial difference! plus 'the jelly man' has had more games and played in his natural striking role.. not on the wing.
John Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Caught the end of Terry Connor's interview on SSN, he seems to have problems speaking!?
