Yes Stuart. He is the reason they stayed up and not Stoke equalising (or another million factors (e.g. Steve Kean?)). Hughes is not a mug. I'll be surprised if he plays for QPR again

Yes Bucky, because Stoke's equaliser meant QPR got 37 points today, having amassed zero previously.

Fair enough, Kean's mismanagement was the biggest problem (obviously) but Barton would have walked into any midfield that Kean has ever put out during his time as "manager".

Maybe. But he is still a liabilty and a thug. There are many people who would walk into the midfield that Kean has assembled but that doesn't make them good

Plus theno has been advocating him since Hughes was in charge. I never mentioned Kean or this season

Just watching with incredulity the post-match interviews with Kean and Di Matteo.

Di Matteo takes Chelsea into the Champions League final next week, yet the interviewer is taking to him about it probably being his last PL game as Chelsea boss.

Same interviewer talks to Kean about his plans over the Summer having just relegated Blackburn Rovers. Kean's complete BS ends with "it's going to be an exciting Summer".

These journalists really earn their money not laughing in his face but why not be just a little more intrusive with the questioning. FFS.

A liability, maybe; a thug, proven; but he is a damn good midfielder.

If we could afford him I'd have him in a heartbeat. We've had the likes of Savage and Diouff and they have all come under a cloud, given their all for the shirt and left lauded. I could easily see the same happening with Barton.

He'll probably go to a newly promoted team - who will put up with his ban, due to the cheap price tag. Trouble is Kean couldn't man-manage an Under 8 player having a hissy-fit.

Kean the media whore is no more, don't think the 'pressers' next season will make many headlines with just Andy Cryer in the room.

Unfortunately he is free to wreak more havoc out of the glare of the PL.

Exactly and that will be the only positive if Kean is here next season.....no one will ask for his opinion on anything. "Bigger" (in terms of population, not trophies) teams than us have been relegated and no one cares what their manager has to say. Even saw another media whore who I used to respect Ian Holloway saying on Sky Sports TV show "Take it like a fan" that no one asks for his opinion on matters anymore whilst sounding genuinely upset about it.

Fair play to Man City.....cannot stand everything about Merchandise United.....can't wait to see the expression on Evra's face after he heard the Man City score.

I wanted City to win to deny United the title but part of me thinks they didn't deserve the three points after a careless, slack performance. United did exactly what they needed to do, apparently without much fuss, at Sunderland yet City almost conspired to simply hand them the trophy. City would have deserved nothing less.

How ironic that City won the league in stoppage (Fergie) time.

My thoughts exactly! I loved the poetic justice!

Just saw that on motd, never seen anyone look so confused

That's the difference, we go down and you have Orr coming out giving it the large. Bolton go down and you get Kevin Davies out who looks genuinely upset.

Same could be said for the difference between Kean and Coyle..... One cares the other is a bullshitting ####.

Speaks volumes.

Ferguson (a manager who has benefited, above all others, from suspect additional time throughout his career) had a dig in his BBC interview about the extra five minutes in the City game. That's why I hate United.

And I thought Paddy kenny was a bad keeper, Fulop had an absolute shocker for wba. What was he doing for the 3rd?!

I thought Kenny was badly at fault for the first two City goals. No goalkeeper should be conceding from headers on the edge of the 6 yard box.

The thing I take away from yesterday (didn't watch it - I was watching the Rugby League) was, judging from the highlights, the Citeh players were escorted from the pitch by huge bodyguards once the fans had invaded.

That pretty much sums up football for me. Can't have the fans, who haven't won the league in 40+ years, mobbing their 'heroes'. Know your place, scum. You pay the wages, but you have no right to celebrate with the players. Left a very bitter taste in my mouth, but then I fell out of love with this game several years ago.

What was he doing for the 2nd goal? he was behind his own line

I'm actually pleased for City suprisingly they are still a proper club with a lot of real fans who followed their team

With 4 minutes left I knew the script and stuck the last fiver in my William Hill account on them to win, only £60 but its nice to win one!

Oh and this reaction is priceless

ibrbOoRe6fTRMf.gif

 That reaction is brilliant! Phil Jones and Fergie's beats it though!

I'm delighted City won (my Grandad and all my Mam's family are City fanatics, so are 3 friends!).

My Grandad was in tears at the end! 82 terminally ill! He never thought he'd see the day! :D

Sadly, I don’t think I’ll ever see Rovers celebrating anything again! Depressing! :(

I'm also delighted, cos I cannot stand Man United; Fergie, Ferdinand, Rooney, - and all their plastic glory hunting fans!

I would love City to win the league for the next decade,- IF ONLY, to upset the Red lot.

Let's hope Randy has taken a shine to Kean

Sounds like he has now been sacked, statement to follow. Bet the Villa fans are chuffed to bits after a year of absolute dross at their club.
