rog of the rovers Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Certainly experienced, think an upstairs appointment has to be made soon.
Backroom Tom Posted June 11, 2011 Backroom Posted June 11, 2011 Anyone know a lot about him? A DoF could be good as it means Kean wouldn't need to do the India trips etc. Thread title is a little misleading as well it seems they still want him according to the article.

philipl Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 This might be the first sane thing Venky's have done since buying Rovers.
Ricky Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Ta for the link Phil, I couldn't for the life of me remember which of the guys at hull was the good one and which one nearly ruined them.
chaddyrovers Posted June 12, 2011 Author Posted June 12, 2011 I think it would be a good choice to appoint Adam Pearson as DoF or CEO. we do have a deputy CEO but no CEO, so that's where I see AP doing, in charge of the football management side and Paul Hunt in charge of the marketing and commericial side of the club.

Bobby G Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Always heard good things about him. Would be a step in the right direction in also putting the team manager in his rightful place, at training and in the match, not in direct contact with the owners of the club.

Would be a very good appointment. Good news at last?

they_think_its_all_rover Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Adam Pearson has almost god-like status here in Hull - there are only 2 things he's ever got wrong in all his year's at the club; 1. Appointing Phil Parkinson, 2. Replacing Phil Brown with Iain 'certain relegation' Dowie. I'd be sad to see him leave Hull City, but he's a strong-minded bloke who knows what he wants and is a person who wants to be running the show - as Hull City now have more hands-on owners and a specialist for dealing with finances, Pearson's role is purely football now, nothing else - which is not his thing, he likes to be in charge of it all, which is only a good thing, as he's great at his job. He hates wasting money too - he's still knocking some of the deals done by the previous regime... with every right to, too - Paul McShane, 4 year contract on £25k a week in the Championship, with no release clause! Seyi Olofinjana (although good at Championship level) far too expensive - £29k per week, Jimmy Bullard - a crock on a 5 year deal on £45k a week... the worst of all: Selling Michael Turner for something like £2.8 million and then spending £2 million to LOAN Ibrahima Sonko from Stoke for the season as his replacement. Pearson will only agree to money being spent on either value for money players or players that can be sold on at a profit in the future.
cn_barlow Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Pearson will only agree to money being spent on either value for money players or players that can be sold on at a profit in the future. GET HIM IN BEFORE KEAN BIDS £6.5M ON RSC!!! That fits in perfectly with the model the owners want to run the club. From everything I've heard about him I think it would be a good appointment. At least we are now seeing some positives from Venky's - digging their heels in over Jones and finally looking to sort out the senior management at the club.

Hopefully he would be responsible for the managers post at Ewood. Kean is too safe at the moment. Would Venky's be prepared to accept stepping back though? Can't help thinking that it's one step forward, after 5 steps backward. Still, we are where we are.
AndyC Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I've dealt with him a former life whilst he was the commercial director at Leeds United. Whilst I don't know him personally, his record speaks for itself. Would be a very strong addition.
thenodrog Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 This might be the first sane thing Venky's have done since buying Rovers. Mrs desai re:John Williams disposal ...... "I know that he (JW) did not get along with Steve (Kean) and he had struggled to accept Jerome (Anderson)'s role at the club." Lets hope Adam pearson can cow tow and tug his forelock to those two or he won't last 5 minutes.
John Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Potentially could be a good appointment, highly rated - surely more of a chairman though not DOF?
davulsukur Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburnrovers/news/9080481.Blackburn_Rovers_consider_restructure/ LET are now reporting
they_think_its_all_rover Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 In the morning our local rag are running a story with Adam Pearson on how he's turned down the chance to become the chairman of BRFC.
Steve Moss Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 In the morning our local rag are running a story with Adam Pearson on how he's turned down the chance to become the chairman of BRFC. Not good news. Experience and maturity in one package, exit stage right.
philipl Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 In the morning our local rag are running a story with Adam Pearson on how he's turned down the chance to become the chairman of BRFC. Not in the least bit surprised but this is still very bad news if true.
alexanders Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Seems like a loyal and great guy. Had a brief spell at Derby in 2009 and found out that grass wasnt greene.
