Hi chaps, just after some opinions really. We are looking at booking our son in for his Christening in August / September but a bit stumped for a venue.

Has anybody been to any around Blackburn with a nice venue? We liked Pleasy golf club but it's bleedin expensive. One problem is at that time of year cricket and golf clubs tend to have things on on Sundays.

Cheers for any suggestions

Tom

What about Blues? Again I don't know about cost but they do do private functions.

Go a bit further afield to The Calf's Head at worston. Easy to find just off the A59, glorious setting under Pendle Hill, garden for the kids to run about in, reasonably priced and very good food with big portions for those with a hearty appetite.

Try accy golf club Tom. Close to Rishton so taxi's home won't be an issue and it is as nice a venue and room as Plessy. If there is a big comp on then parking may be a problem. Apart from that Mitton Fold is quite handy too. Accy GC has a better bar though for your elderly relatives. ;)
