Jimmy612 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Think with some good signings, that top 4, or 6 looks a good possibility Your not serious?

wandel77 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 This is one of the better programs for serval years. I hope we can get between 55-58 points.
Emge Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Think with some good signings, that top 4, or 6 or 8 or 10 looks a good possibility Welcome on the messageboard Mr Kean!
bazza Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Wolves at home. McCarthy will be looking for revenge. Let's hope we are not relying on the last match to keep us up. Chelsea away! I don't intend to be negative. Just bringing Iceman back to earth.
OhmiBRFC Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Good to see the Easter Monday fixture returning, been a good while since we had one of those. We had one against City this year didn't we?
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Pretty kind set of fixtures really, not facing a run of really difficult fixtures until christmas. Like LeChuck said on the other fixture thread if Rovers are rock bottom in October after those set of fixtures Kean should in some serious trouble. The final three games could be tricky if we need to put a run together to survive. Having to play Spurs away, derby game against Wigan and then going to Chelsea on the final day won't be easy, especially if clubs like Chelsea still have something to play for.
alexanders Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Unfortunate that Rovers doesnt play in London the opening day when I'm there :\
Sandiway Blue Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Gutted! Newcastle away was the one we wanted the most and its the same day as my sister-in-laws wedding!
Look4Me Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Unfortunate that Rovers doesnt play in London the opening day when I'm there :\ Yeah, me too, actually. Typical...Rovers never play in London when I'm there..
alexanders Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 ANy argyments I can use to bring my wife on the train to Blackburn to watch Wolves?
Miker Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Ah damn... I'm going to be in Italy mid-November to mid-December and was considering making the trip to Blackburn for a game, but the only home games during that period are going to be Swansea and West Brom... Even away the choices are Wigan, Stoke or Sunderland. The Bolton match at Ewood is 3 days after my flight leaves as well! Would have loved to make it to a derby game at Ewood.
RovertheHill Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Two questions 1) When do Sky come along and mess up the first bunch of fixtures? 2) Anybody know where there is an iCal file with the fixtures in - or am I typing them in again!
Rover Down Under Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Additional Note: To secure a licence for this site to display the fixtures (just for Rover's fixtures) would cost £662+VAT, money we'd much rather spend on a new server. We therefore must insist that once the fixtures are released they are NOT copied onto the site. Please discuss them, but do NOT under any circumstances cut and past the full list onto here. Bleedin' Nora! How long before we have to pay to say "Blackburn Rovers"? Or any other club name for that matter? (it'll cost a tenner to say "Manchester United" and tuppence for "Blackburn Rovers" ) It's a fixture list for crying out loud...World's gone mad...wibble, wibble...
Herbie6590 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Two questions 1) When do Sky come along and mess up the first bunch of fixtures? 2) Anybody know where there is an iCal file with the fixtures in - or am I typing them in again! re 2 - best I've found - see my earlier post There's a great feature on the Sky Sports site where you can click on an icon next to the fixture & it adds it to your calendar....saved me hours of CTRL C CTRL V type stuff... http://www.skysports.com/football/calendar/0,25004,11676,00.html
RovertheHill Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 re 2 - best I've found - see my earlier post Sorry Herbie I missed that - thanks very much
The Harwood Yankee Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Call me old fashioned but looking down that fixure list with all its Saturday 3 o'clock kick-offs makes me all nostalgic. I know its only a matter of time before Sky descends and tells us we have to play at 5.35 on a Sunday or a Tuesday evening or whatever other time they can fit us in around fishing programmes and championship darts. Meantime, we can look at that fixture list and think back to the times when the start of a new season meant almost anyone could win and almost anyone could go down. Pass me the werthers originals, Jim...
onlyonejackwalker Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 ive looked at the entire list of fixtures. Apart from that Liverpool and Man United back to back fixtures, it is a list where we can lose a game, but win the next 2.. there is not a horrible run to be honest, where we play Arsenal, then Chelsea, the Tottenham. Its like Arsenal, then maybe home to West Brom and Newcastle as an example. Think with some good signings, that top 4, or 6 or 8 or 10 looks a good possibility Top four? Are you being serious? Rest assured that no matter who we sign that won't be happening... :!:
AggyBlue Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Top four? Are you being serious? I've done the BBC predictor thingy and we won the league
rog of the rovers Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I've done the BBC predictor thingy and we won the league Last time we played Chelsea away on the last game of the season we won and sneaked into Europe! 5/5/96 - Chelsea 2-3 Rovers Sherwood, McKinlay and Fenton with the goals for Rovers!
Hughesy Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Boltons 1st 7 games.....what a run!! Either disaster start or a great one! QPR (Away) Man City (Home) Liverpool (Away) Man Utd (Home) Norwich (Home) Arsenal (Away) Chelsea (Home)
Blackburn Ravers Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Boltons 1st 7 games.....what a run!! Either disaster start or a great one! QPR (Away) Man City (Home) Liverpool (Away) Man Utd (Home) Norwich (Home) Arsenal (Away) Chelsea (Home) Oh dear, not exactly ideal fixtures for the begginning of the season are they
Clitherover Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Oh dear, not exactly ideal fixtures for the begginning of the season are they Couldn't happen to a nicer club, could it? :D
Blueboy Downunder Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 ###### ell, away on boxing day and last game of season...AGAIN!! WHAT THE (Please don't use that word again)!!
Glenn Posted June 18, 2011 Author Posted June 18, 2011 2) Anybody know where there is an iCal file with the fixtures in - or am I typing them in again! Lee's said he'll put the usual ical export he does on the official site once the first round of sky changes come in. I've lived by iCal / Google Calendar for years, so I always pester him to do the iCal version.
