Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted June 20, 2011 Moderation Lead Posted June 20, 2011 Can we not just have a anti Venky/Kean thread and a pro Venky/Kean thread? Would make it alot better. At the moment i have to trawl through the dribble some people write and i frankly cant be arsed anymore. I admit far too many people whinge, I'm not really pro or anti Venky's I'm just pro BRFC! I think a lot of other people claim to be, but the way they chat on you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise!

mokanszki Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/adrian-mutu-specials/club-after-summer-transfer-window Mutu is a target??
Hi Mack Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I met our new head of youth development today - Paul he was called. First day in the job today - most of you know nothing about BRFC. Patronising much?
herbergeehh Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I spend too much of my own time reflecting upon Rovers', Venky's and Steve Kean's actions to care about what commentators and journalists say on the matter. They write about every club, I only care about the one. I'm not even remotely interested anymore, I simply don't need that kind of input to make my mind up. Other BRFC fans, sure - but not people like that. It'll be a great summer on the transfer market, and I can't wait to get our first signing through.
vintageadidas Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Patronising much? A little and on purpose. Venky's this Venky's that. The club is running exactly the same as it always has. People are just getting on with it. A new hierarchy is being put in place TO PUSH US FORWARD but trust me when i say Venky's do not have a say in everything - they could, of course - but they don't - they leave it to the people they have put in charge. Oh and one of the stands will be sponsored by Venky's next season - most likely the Riverside. JWS - cannot have a sponsor BBE - No sponsor DE - WEC RS - No sponsor
Mullionvagrant Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/adrian-mutu-specials/club-after-summer-transfer-window Mutu is a target?? Yep this ones been brewing in the background for a few weeks. see romanian article http://www.evz.ro/detalii/stiri/blackburn-rovers-il-vrea-pe-adrian-mutu-933298.html

Speaking personally I feel that this summer is a fresh start- it has to be. I think a lot of fans feel the same way.

Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I met our new head of youth development today - Paul he was called. First day in the job today - most of you know nothing about BRFC. Out of interest, whom did he replace?
Brfcrule1 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Ben I don't think the 12M release clause exists for Samba I think it is pure guesswork from Anderson that figure has been plucked out from an earlier article as Hertha have a sell-on clause & was stating we would need to be asking 12M+ but so far as been said there is no release clause but I do believe Mrs D will not let him leave just like that & we will put up a fight on another subject Nicko any news on Vucinic as Juve have now gone for someone else & will there be an 11'oclocker?.

I think this is the part a lot of people are worried about with experienced management like Williams, Finn and Allardyce leaving. Anyway...back to transfers, did your mate have any idea of the 'youth development' plans they have? will we be bringing in any 16/17 year old prospects?

JWS - cannot have a sponsor BBE - No sponsor DE - WEC RS - No sponsor Am I sensing a theme? Running as normal yet we have done no sponsor deals. Get it sorted.
Torgeir Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Are you Danny Rose's agent? He's very poor, he didnt even stand out in a poor Bristol City squad last season. He played for the U21s last week was poor....again. Stay Away! I just think he can become a player and fit our profile of signing younger players. I agree he didn't look great for the U21s, but neither did Jones or Henderson who just moved for £20m each
LeChuck Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I think Redknapp's got plans to make him into a left back anyway so I don't think he'll be for sale.
daveoftherovers Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I may be behind on the news here but Park has hinted he may leave United. With just a year left on contract surely a bid of 8m will have to be looked at? I've wanted him at Rovers for years, he might see it as a decent place for him to play his last few seasons.. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/929177/park-ji-sung-ponders-manchester-united-exit?cc=5901 Spot on, I really rate this guy, great engine, really under rated as well as far as I am concerned!
leerovers1980 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Spot on, I really rate this guy, great engine, really under rated as well as far as I am concerned! i think were the last club right now man united will want to be doing business with , just cant see it happening
daveoftherovers Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I met our new head of youth development today - Paul he was called. First day in the job today - most of you know nothing about BRFC. Good luck to Paul! He has a very important job for us and our future, I hope he un earth's sack fulls of little gems in his day job! And keep posting Vintage, a lot of us find your insight a welcome diversion to some of the unbalanced "BAU" moans about the Manager and the owners. I for one am hoping this season is the fresh start we need.
jim mk2 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Excellent article in the Mirror - thanks for whoever provided the link. It touches on the biggest problem Rovers have in trying to make new signings - Steve Kean. Why would any decent player want to come to Rovers to play for him ?

Why would Jermaine Jones want to sign for him in January Jim? Sometimes, it's like you and others are enjoying the prospect of the club failing!

It touches on the biggest problem Rovers have in trying to make new signings - Steve Kean. Why would any decent player want to come to Rovers to play for him ? Please stop all this moaning, wait and see what will happen. Was it all happy days under the walkers the last 3 years ? No do not think so. We have nor bought any players with real quality for the last couple of seasons, and when we have a opportunity to sign some good players. Then you only see a black hole i do not understand this until its proven.
daveoftherovers Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 i think were the last club right now man united will want to be doing business with , just cant see it happening Probably right, however, what about, we'll drop our complaint if you do the deal LOL :-)
thenodrog Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Why would Jermaine Jones want to sign for him in January Jim? Sometimes, it's like you and others are enjoying the prospect of the club failing! Surely you know the answer to that K-Hod? Obviously it's to get noticed by other clubs in the Prem. I'm sure that he has too. We have been a stepping stone club for some time now. Nowt wrong with that role but as supporters we need to learn to stop forming emotional attachments with any footballing journeymen and Carlos Kickaballs that sign meaningless pieces of paper every season.

Yes, that's right, ignore any useful contributions from people actually in the know such as Nicko's recent inputs, alongside some of the positive noises coming from within the club and peach for the story with the most negative factors in it.
