Athlete Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I suppose David Bentley left after a row with Mark Hughes as well, huh? So did Stephen Warnock and Craig Bellamy, did I get all of them? Poor Steve Kean...I wonder when he's going to get a break from all this underserved bashing. Even if he does managed to sign Cisse, will the unreasonable flaming cease? I doubt it. Steve Keans is getting the stick well deserved stick he's the worst manager I can remember in the last 30 years since I've been watching Rovers including Kidd + a close 2nd Ince...his record speaks for its self - the senior players kept us up as under keans leadership we were heading down..until the Bolton game no wins since Jan -do the sums prat BTW Bentley didnt leave after an argument - the club got a good price for a player who thought the grass was greener else where ( he started to believe his hype ) Bellamy....Craig his Craig lol wanted a crack at liverpool ..no argument with his mate Hughes

mark1875 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 has anyone actually realised if its cisse we cant sign him untill 1st july or anyone else in mainland europe or in brazil, so i doubt it very much its mirinda or cisse ,maybe look closer to home players are transferring all over europe! they can still be signed. they just cant actually move until July the 1st hence how Newcastle have already signed 3 from France
BRFC_Pilkz Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 has anyone ever actually seen this miranda play. same with cisse. i'd personally never heard of them till we were linked with them. I spoke to a Santos fan on another forum he said he's one of the best defenders in the Braslian league.
Athlete Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Fairystories. 'his agent let out his release clause to interested parties'- so many things wrong with this. few reasons why from the rumours doing the rounds....
EWOODACE1 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I spoke to a Santos fan on another forum he said he's one of the best defenders in the Braslian league. hopefully thats promising. if hes as good as alex ill be happy. cant think of too many south american cb that dont usually make some stupid mistakes in a match. like trying to dribble past a striker
dhughes07 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Cisse bid accepted, up to the player now. That is my guess.
BPF Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I hope we confirm a signing soon or this will be Chaddy. Good ol' Chaddy.
Backroom DE. Posted June 25, 2011 Backroom Posted June 25, 2011 Re: Vucinic, apparently Gabriele Marcotti has posted on twitter that the agent in question is denying the quotes given are accurate. Am assuming he means the one where he calls us 'respectable' but that Vucinic wants to go to a more prestigious club.
Kenwoo Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 few reasons why from the rumours doing the rounds.... 1. Kean is well liked by the players (see Jason Brown interview today) 2. Agents don't 'release' info just because a player may have fallen out with the club. The chasing pack were aware of the release clause regardless. 3. Jones left because he wanted to win things.
chaddyrovers Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I hope we confirm a signing soon or this will be Chaddy. Good ol' Chaddy. i'm not that bad yet Glenn

Kean isn't well liked by the majority of fans fact..he isnt liked by Kalinic fact were do you get your info hes liked by the players..brown jason roberts...lol BTW did you remember the press statements by the players the day before the wigan game away just before ince got sacked...I rest my case...lol
ada2020 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 few reasons why from the rumours doing the rounds.... unfortunately there in lies the problem, rumours, no facts to back them.

The players got the blame. Good players left under Hughes. The players got the blame. Good players leave under Kean and suddenly Kean gets the blame. You don't like the guy, fine, Im hardly a massive fan either, but that doesn't mean you can then pin every bad news story onto him. He gets stick when he deserves it - when we play badly or sign bad players. Last season he got us into a hole and then got us out of one. He's just about shown that he can get the players playing well and can get results under pressure. He has a heck of a lot to prove as it is, there's no need to be throwing meaningless accusations at him along the way.
Neal Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Can we leave the Steve Kean talk in the correct part of the messageboard? It's getting tiresome. He's the manager like it or not... deal with it. Anyway, whats the crack with this talk of an apparent signing? Should we be expecting someone to spit it out or just forget about it until something concrete happens?

He has a lot to prove for sure just looked on odds checker and the bookies have him 7/2 favourite as 1st manager in the prem next season to leave his post...the senior players got us out that hole pal...A La Chris samba...lets hope big Chris is still here next season
leerovers1980 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 just have feeling its Hughes in on the 1st July and kean going back into a coaching roll, hope I'm right but I hardly am lol

Link: http://www.talksport.co.uk/radioplayer/live/ talking about everything to do with Germany and transfers to and from both divisions, even Brentford was mentioned and Tranmere but not cisse and blackburn lol
Teacup Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 even Brentford was mentioned and Tranmere but not cisse and blackburn lol Rofl, oh man, I am going back to bed.
he6rt6gr6m Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Id take Vucinic over Cisse for sure. He justifies the figure and wages much more and they are only about 1 year apart in age. I've seen way more of Vucinic than I have of Cissé, so I'm inclined to lean towards Mirko. That said, Cissé's goal tally last season isn't something we should ignore. We have the opportunity to speak to him, then as I've said, suggest an average wage for the first 12 months, then see where we stand after his first season. Too many players are guaranteed a wage these days, then turn out to be lazy gits that just want to sit and do almost nothing for such a high wage. If Cissé's aspirations are to play in the Premier League, and by the sounds of it WE are the only party interested here, he must make exceptions and PROVE his worth. Why should a player again place himself higher than the club? He's here to do a job, and will get paid accordingly once we know what he's actually capable of here.

The only other mentioned interested clubs are Russian. The Russian leagues are OK and produce some decent teams, but if he goes to Russia he'll disappear off much of Europe's radar because many people simply don't follow Russian football. Not sure if at this stage of his career that would be wise.
BRFC_Pilkz Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Everton beat Blackburn to the signing of an apparently talented youth keeper from Poland whom I've never heard of before. This was just posted by a Polish chap on another forum.
he6rt6gr6m Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Juventus want 2 strikers. Don't know how accurate that is. Matri, Quagliarella, Iaquinta, Amauri and God... I mean, Del Piero. A bid for Aguero, if successful, means SIX strikers are on the books. If they can't shift Amauri and Iaquinta off, then signing a SEVENTH striker makes no sense to me. Also, whoever said that Juventus won't go for Vucinic if they sign Aguero is missing one vital point - Giuseppe Rossi. Barcelona have Rossi lined up if the Alexis Sanchez deal falls through, having already agreed a fee and agreed to talk to Rossi over terms. They then shunted him for Sanchez, which is a deal that seems to be more likely than not completed. I'm not sure where people get this idea that Vucinic is high on Juventus' list from. In my opinion, he's WAY down that list. Speaking of Iaquinta, would anyone here take him at Ewood? I'd prefer him over Amauri. He was very unlucky last season, but he's another that does spend time in the physio's room. I still like him. Big, strong, and a sweet right foot. But he's past being a top player for Champions League regulars.
roversmum Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Momentarily lost the will to live. Non-stop tennis on tv - at least someone got the right idea and cut the power cable resulting in loss of coverage. Can't take any more excitement. Keep getting all worked up in anticipation to find we've signed a new tea lady. Got three cupboards and a computer desk to assemble. See ya later.
