The fact that the "Sportsmail Reporter" in question has Andy Reid leaving Sunderland on a free when they sold him to Blackpool in January (who have released him from his deal) doesn't give me a lot of hope that the £2m for Andrews is nailed on. I'll do cartwheels if it's true though.

And the £27m Arsenal pot is clearly 12 for us, 15 for Cahill. Samba's a better player but Cahill's younger and English, so he commands a premium. I'm sure there are Bolton fans using Phil Jones as a reason why they should get 22m+ for him.

Think we're in a good position to play the waiting game regarding Jones. Roberto said he's 8th (I think) on Roma's list, and he wants to come back here, so it's up to Schalke - do they want to let him go at a fee acceptable to us, thus relinquishing the 4m Euro wage he takes per year, or do they want to keep hold of him, wage and all, with the tremendous debt they find themselves in?

I just hope that he doesn't come here with a 4m Euro wage, because he's not worth that much, in my opinion.
