These articles really p1ss me off - why do people alwasy have a dig at rovers and not see that we have some ambition to improve with the new owners, really gets my goat up, its all negative that we haven`t done any business yet, sold Jones who wanted to go, and apparetnyl Samba has a release clause of 12 million if you believe the tosser who has written the article.

wish I had a big go gadget arm that could stretch out and slap these journo`s on the chops every now and again when they are writing all this negative balls

Very happy with the list of players Nicko has us linked with. Young, talented and with potential to make us into a genuine force next season.

Nicko realistically what are our chances of signing the six players? Can you reveal the un named Scouser coming to Rovers next season?

----------------Robinson

Anyukov Miranda Samba Olsson

----------Jones -------- Nzonzi

Hoilet--------Damiao-------- Piatti

------------------Cisse

I would be amazed If that was our line up on september the 1st.

Push Damiao right up top with Cisse and on paper that is some team. Dare I say shades of the 94/95 Rovers team. The only position I would worry about is N'Zonzi, we would need to sign an additional midfielder, maybe Reo-Coker to compete for the defensive midfielder position. Guess those 6 signings would cost 40m.

I am alone in thinking Arsenal are just not gonna come up with the right figure for Samba. I would love to present this team on paper to Samba and try to convince him to stay, same with Hoilett.

Some big names. although all foreign imports. Herein will lie the big challenge - can Kean get them to gel quickly. Also, how will this affect our balance in terms of a minimum number of 'home grown' ?

Given the begging he's been doing I'd be surprised if there's a £12m release clause. Except for the fact Wenger won't want to pay that much.

Given that he's one of our best players, he has a 5 year contract and we don't need the money (if you believe the stories about how much money Venkys are adding to the transfer pot) then to sell him for less than a stupidly high offer would worry me greatly.

That list is nothing short of SENSATIONAL - nobody can say otherwise and it's spot on, we should be excited and praising the owners and Kean for their ambition!!

A couple of notes:

Keane - will only happen at far less wages and IF we land other targets, he will NOT be the top striker landed. That said he has more than enough left in him, he is the classic case of needing 'an arm around the shoulder' and told how good he is, IF he comes and we replace Andrews as the villain with Keane, he will fail.

Fees - I've seen a couple of people already saying 'that doesn't add up to £50m' as was previously said it could cost UP to that and with the sizes of some of the signing on fees, rises in wages and £40m+ in fees its enough!! Nicko did stick his neck out and actually said between £40m-£50m.

Anjukov - surprised no one has clicked this means no place for Salgado, that's usually the way people look at these things with a crowd favourite. HOWEVER Anjukov became available and is a TOP TOP player great signing.

And one final thing I'd like every person on here to honestly answer this please:

If these players arrive, are a success and we sell them for a profit in 1-2 seasons. Is the owners plan, that they set out at the beginning, a bad one, because it'll come to fruition (sign players from abroad - give them a stage - they move on, we get a profit). Do you still not like the idea of bringing these players in, giving them a premier league stage and them moving on?

We have a history as long as your arm for this, WE have just never been honest enough about what was happening, the players were always made to look the villains in the end - most recent example - Samba,

BTW seen as Nicko said it would be in, the scouser is Anthony Bloch, from Everton will be coming in as Tom Finn's replacement.

yeah, I'm really looking forward to Anjukov coming over to play for Blackburn. Will be awesome if he does. I do hope we get all those signings.

But to your last thing, this time it's not Samba or the players like Jones being made to look like the villains, it's poor Steve Kean. Notice how some people here are saying Kean is the reason why Jones left, etc, why we can't attract top players to the club...

I think it's not fair to accuse Kean of those, and if Kean does succeed in signing Anjukov, Cisse, Pablo, Miranda and the others it will be a really really big step up for him.

I sincerely hop eit's not true. I just renewed my son's season ticket yesterday and Keane has been his most loathed player for the last 12 years or so. Waste of £145 if keane comes to Rovers. Will they give me my money back as I don't think James will attend a single home game. Not keen on Keane myself either. Past it in terms of goalscoring for the last 3-4 years.

How old is your son?

For me, Keane has tormented us for years and his pace and enthusiasm off the bench could be of value, still seems to get in good positions in the box.

Put it this way if we had Damiao,Cisse,Kalanic,Rochina and a choice of Keane/Roberts/Benjani, I'd be taking Keane.

Who is Anthony Bloch and what is his role at Everton?

A google search suggests he his the assistant club secretary at Everton

If we get Anyukov for £4.5m I will personally write a letter of congratulations to the negotiating team. I cannot see him going for anything less than £10m.

In December the rumour was of him going to Bayern for €20m.

http://rt.com/sport/football/anyukov-bayern-zenit-transfer/

can't see his price dropping so dramatically since then, his contract is still for another 18 months.

BPF's 1990 Christmas List

An actual rocket ship

An Elephant

A Meerkat

A boat

Life size waxwork models of the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.

I don't want to be Captain Bringdown, but please remember that a wish list and reality are far different things. There will be one hell of a battle to pull this off.

BBC's South American football guy was talking about how South American generally struggle to adapt to the English way of life/English game. I've always been of the same viewpoint (Villenueva anyone). Seems like Venkys want half the squad to be S American.

Don't lambast, but would anyone be interested in Nedum Onuoha?

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Manchester-City-unable-to-sell-Emmanuel-Adebayor-Craig-Bellamy-Roque-Santa-Cruz-Wayne-Bridge-Shaun-Wright-Phillips-Jo-and-Nedum-Onuoha-who-cost-the-club-30m-a-year-in-wages-article752432.html

If Kean is after Roque, a combined cut-price deal inclusive of a homegrown defender might be beneficial. Personally, I don't want Roque back at the club, but thought a homegrown defender might be worth a look. Could be convinced that he needs to be playing football at this point in his career. Was he any good at Blunderland last year? Looks like he got a good few games.

Apologies if this has been mentioned...
