As some one said sky sports are days behind. Things from rovers end could have moved on. As kammy said his agent has stopped talking so let's hope we here something positive in the next couple of days

Trolling me are you? For starters Tugay wasn't a box to box player as I suggested we need, but if you had any involvement or knowledge of football as opposed to an agenda to troll me you would know that. Jones is a poor passer of the ball, proven last season with us, N'zonzi loves to pass sideways again because I watch him play and since when has adequate been enough at premier league level? So lets just pass it out wide constantly and watch teams force us to play through the middle or cut out the wide passes. No successful team at the level we are supposedly aiming for eliminates one of the attacking areas, right, left and central, they attack where they need to and ensure they have players that can do so. Solid midfielder doesn't mean they have to lack technical ability, but then again if you think Tugay is a box to box midfielder then there's little point in this conversation either.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, maybe the out and out playmaker is going the way of the old fashioned winger, certainly in the premier league. The days when every team had one are long over.

For the record, since it's been quoted, my reply to that post you just quoted, and the quote itself both got deleted, was that I had not said that Tugay was a box to box mindfielder. I had said that Jones could pass a ball (though didn't compare him to Tugay because he isn't anything like) and he could burst through too, as in on top of being adequate at passing, not as in burst through like Tugay did, as he interpreted.

The quotes are from the LT on Saturday and the interview with Cisse agent was done on Friday Morning!!!

I reckon Cisse will sign for us this week! He has gone the chance to play in the PL or in the russia league. If he wants to better himself then he will choose us over other clubs!

PIATTI...there is nothing to worry about re Atletico Madrid just yet...but Rovers need to get cracking with this one...of all the deals at the high end of the scale the wee man is the easiest to do...

I said we don't need another Tugay in terms of passing ability. Your argument was that we need a Tugay because we don't have somebody who can pass in midfield. I said we have two players who can pass adequately enough and find the wings at a minimum, and Jones can even burst through from time to time.

I'm here to offer a counter to your (and anybody elses) opinions, if I disagree with them, as many are so ridiculous. Just because I reply to the more ridiculous quotes doesn't mean I'm ridiculing them. You seem to misunderstand this. They do not need to be ridiculed as they are ridiculous for all to see.

Passing is not just about assists. It's a team game and if we are scoring goals from a passing move all the passes involved are of importance.

Tracks back well. That and his set pieces (which are overrated when compared to people who are actually famed for them) are his main attributes. He isn't a tackler though. He only tackles when he gets wound up and that happens about once every six games.

His passing is embarrassing at times too. The last thing we need is for him to be passing it to the opposition in the LB position.

I'd be in favour of just getting rid.

Twitter seems to be saying that Atletico have a deal agreed with Almeira for Piatti, but that they have to sell before they can buy.

That could hang on Juventus signing Aguero then!

Interestingly, I wonder if this will affect the Miranda deal too. They're trying to trim their squad down, not add to it.

also just because the clubs may have agreed terms doesn't mean the player has. From what Nicko mentioned it sounds like the asking price is very doable.

I think you would have a case for a permit - even if it was on appeal. I am going to presume that was looked into. He did play for Sochaux when he was a kid, but not long enough to get a French passport.

Spanish clubs don't have the same problems with permits that British clubs do.
