You and your ilk, are backing yourselves into a corner that you'll struggle to get out of if you're not careful.

The wind is turning Jim, I suggest you get on board or you'll be left behind :D

Ps, I have no insider knowledge or agenda.

It's a messageboard silly - you're not supposed to take it seriously.

I'm as positive as the next person really - I will of course be as delighted as the next Rovers fan when Ronaldinho signs.

Not sure which side of the argurment I'm on here with how likely we are to be able to make good signings this summer but I am still reet worried about the management at the club. Not so much Steve Kean but more the lack of anyone to make signings, negotiate contracts etc. I wish they would get that sorted asap or I fear we might be left with the desperate last pay day types.

I'm liking the sound of this player Nicko mentioned who's good but rarely gets mentioned. Unlikely to be a drama queen and will get on with his job sufficiently. Likely to be a professional on many levels. And shows we aren't just going to blow it all on big time charlies. The fact we are looking at players like this can be seen as a positive in my eyes.

I like that sort of player too, though I also think Park would do a job for us. I nearly said 'would be a good signing for us', Chaddyrovers2 lol

I expect Huber will be dealing with that

I was the same when Gordon Lee became our manager

Why would Jermaine Jones want to sign for him in January Jim? Sometimes, it's like you and others are enjoying the prospect of the club failing! :angry2:

I beg to differ. It is because we care about the club, that we bring up a concern we have. I just wonder if Kean has the pulling power to sign the players we want. But at the sametime that is why we have agents helping.

I just think that a bigger name, would attract bigger and better players and bring - I hope better success.

Bigger than Samba would just be plain scary!

Poor Kean, he just can't get a break ffs!

Iceman I accept a person has to start somewhere. But at a club like Rovers, where survival in the prem is success and essential. It is a huge risk the club are taking, with a fairly decent transfer kitty - it talk is true - Rovers have a chance to kick on a bit.

Made the same risk with Ince, that ended well

There may be a BENJANI line in the Mirror that would suggest he won't be back. Even if it is not used I don't think he will back.

Any news on potential outgoings?

Any interest in Grella or Andrews?

I won't hold out much hope; they'd all be at the bottom of any shopping list!

Blimey this message board is insane.. I am no fan of Keans so far, but how can you blame him for not attracting the top players, when the hell have we ever been able to attract the big names, we are a small town Northern club with a proud heritage not a money spinning Man City, Man U, Liverpool etc etc.... potential talents, players looking to revitalise their careers and older players looking to finish theirs that is all we have been able to attract for a long while.

Lets see what happens in the next three weeks and judge then, still a long way to go.

Thanks for the write up Nicko.. I presume you won't post the name until tomorrow now lol.. :)

Hopefully 11=12 will line up as such:

Robinson

Corchina (le mans) Miranda Givet (if Samba goes) Olsson

Bentley Kayal Jones Gamst

Hoilett/Macheda Llorente

Corchina - 4million

Kayal - 6 million

Jones - 4 million

Bentley - 6 million

Macheda - loan/4 million

Miranda - FREE

Llorente - 10 million

Total 34 million

I'd say it was a great young team ... Robbo as the oldest player! Full of potenctial and a new target man in LLorente!
