Neal Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 My guess would be as another company appears to be sorting out transfer dealings e.g. arranging fees, contracts etc.. THEN telling the owners what it will cost is bringing up some difficulties in getting deals done.

my_name_is_Earl Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Well someone might as well say it, the old regime has all but gone, so nothing there. What could be more bizarre than Venky's changing their minds on who is spending the money, perhaps they have realized their blue eyed boy can't pull after all. Time is needed for this all to unfold. Now where is Hughsey, the manager. Fascinating questions raised there 67. Perhaps Kean isn't the man to take the club forward and the Venky's have come to realise it. Or, perhaps Kean wants certain players and the Venky's aren't catering to his demands as they seek their own/Kentaro's players. I do get the feeling that Kean would love to take Robbie Keane but the Venky's are after other players and that's what Nicko means by 'heads need banging together' as they stand to lose all their targets unless they can settle on the same names. I wonder how close I am?
T.J.Newton Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 sorry this is completly off topic, but has anybody else seen this yet- http://www.football-...way-shirt_12222. Horrid!!!! as an away shirt.
he6rt6gr6m Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 sorry this is completly off topic, but has anybody else seen this yet- http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/leaked-blackburn-rovers-201112-yellow-away-shirt_12222. Completely off topic is right.
Andy Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 One part of Venky's wanting and trusting Kean, but the other part not maybe...?
Hughesy Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Guess...... Kean has picked his players, prices have been worked out last week - now Kentaro have come back and said we can do better and for cheaper!
Neal Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I'm thinking Nicko may well be right with quieting down for a few days to see what happens, i'm going to do the same. The organisation at the club seems to be mental and perhaps the black and white of it is... That no-one knows what is to to happen besides the "top brass" (if they can be called that). I think things will just happen out of the blue under this new regime... Just a hunch.
T.J.Newton Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 will it be this friday that hughes is fee join another club, could that be somat to do with it, prob not im takin my dreams ta bed now.
artemorethanlabore Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 My guess, the habit of wanting players of ronaldinho-ilk is back.
brian_gallagher85 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I suspect you may want to swap notes with Kamy. We've had our own few days of extreme bizarreness, I wonder if the two are related. Just a quick question to both Glenn/Kamy and Nicko. If you know about all these "bizarre goings on" why do you have to wait to publish them? I can understand Alan holding back some of the good stuff for a Sunday when he'll more than likely get a bigger pay day, I was just wondering what the sites reasons for it are, or is it simply a case of it being "unconfirmed" to all parties? I understand if you can't reply directly, was just something that has had me puzzled during the past few windows.
steo Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 My guess is forget about a transfer budget and sign freebies and loans, all optimism gone,we may have new owners but it's same old rovers.
BRFC_Pilkz Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 A lot of angry and conflicting vibes...hopefully some heads get cleared fast. You are on the brink of something pretty good here. DON'T BLOW IT. So maybe we are close to getting a player but don't want to pay the high wages?
Glenn Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Just a quick question to both Glenn/Kamy and Nicko. If you know about all these "bizarre goings on" why do you have to wait to publish them? Assuming we're on about the same thing (and it's very possible we're not). I'd imagine it's a mixture of fact checking and source protection. When somebody tells you something unbelievable you don't just blurt it out. If it's as daft as it seems, you look stupid. If it turns out to be true then it's often obvious where it's come from. Anyway, sit back, don't worry about it. Bizarre doesn't imply good or bad, just unexpected.
Teacup Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 From what I have read, it sounds like they are err... Still deciding on who they are going for? No bids have gone in yet? So, they obviously are worried about the amounts involved (wages and otherwise). Someone thinks they can get better for less if they keep looking.. The longer they take the more potential signings will slip through our fingers. So, potentially a big epic fail on the horizon unless Venkys ignore whoever is telling them to keep looking and find cheaper alternatives, because the cheaper alternatives are basically crap.
leerovers1980 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 is it just me or is are club which was one of the best run clubs in the country is now becoming the complete opposite and a joke to every other club in the premiership, people looking in must be having a right laugh at the way we are going around are business, I think the supporters deserve answers on which way are club is going and what the future holds
roverandout Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 all this is making me feel ill, i feel like someone has told me to eat my greens so i will get my big suprise desert only for them to tell me there isnt one.
Stevo Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 all this is making me feel ill, i feel like someone has told me to eat my greens so i will get my big suprise desert only for them to tell me there isnt one. But that will be good for you in the long run, making you healthier and less prone to disease and obesity. Just saying.
jim mk2 Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 But that will be good for you in the long run, making you healthier and less prone to disease and obesity. Just saying. Indeed so. Rovers supporters need to "chill out", enjoy the long hot summer days and relax in the knowledge that our esteemed owners are working hard behind the scenes to secure the best players at reasonable prices for the forthcoming season. I have absolute confidence in their abilities to match the expectation of fans with a number of dazzling signings that will excite supporters and give a significant boost to season ticket sales. The future is bright, the club is making great strides on and off the field of play and all we need is to rely and trust in the expertise of the owners. Come on you Blues !

hesfromburn Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 expertise of the owners..... do you know something jim is the problen venkys are trying to pay players wages in half money half chickens? could explain niko being dumbstruck
scotty_beam_me_up Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Well all the doubters cannot possibly accuse Venkys of publicity stunts, yet another BBC gossip column and Rvers don't even get a mention.
duggers Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 We've got a long time till the transfer window shuts and, for me, a half decent squad of players. I'm enjoying reading about the soap opera of signings everyday, I thought I supported Blackburn Rovers and not Harchester Rovers. I'm sure we'll have a starting 11 that looks dramatically different next season, we'll see if thats a good thing or not when that day arrives
