Its a really strange and seemingly pointless transfer. Robbo, Bunn and Kean are our 3 keepers even if he is brought in for some kind of coaching capacity, we have Bobby Mimms here. So unless He's off i can't see the point in this.

I heard from a scouser at work that Liverpool want Mimms. Idle chat, I don't know.

No - bigger names, like your Ronaldinhos etc.

Keane is on the list it seems, perhaps as the 'experienced striker' option - aslong as we bring in someone like Cisse then im not worried about that signing (aslong as its no more than £3m)

Are you for real ? give them some time FFS, and stop thinking the world is coming to an end because you have heard through the grapevine on here about some misgivings in the club. Lets see if they sign some people in the next couple of weeks, still leaving plenty of weeks to do more business before judging.

Relax people.

This is a big opportunity for the Owners to establish a quality side, and with teams struggling for money and other factors, this is the ideal position for Rovers to be with. A lot of the fans on here have suddenly started to think we'll splash millions back in the Walker days, but this will never happen. If you want to make yourself feel better, then just think about what would have happened if the Trust were still in charge.

Big opportunity for The Rao's to make a mark on the PL. Let's hope they don't blow it.

As Hughesy correctly says the issue is not the money (it is there to spend), the issue is that bids were set to go in this week and now there seems to be dithering. They need to get their act together and take some decisive decisions, otherwise they are not only going to lose players like Cisse/Piatti but just as importantly we will start to get a reputation (with Agents) of messing about which will make it even harder to sign players.

Kamy, as I said a week or two back after Nicko posted that there was a meeting of all the interested bodies, this whole set up at Ewood is wrong. Too many people involved.

You simply need a good manager who knows the game, submitting a list of targets and a good chairman getting those players in. We used to do that, but not now. This method can't work.

Yes definitely, BUT we arent saying Keane or Roberts here. We are saying Keane AND Roberts. If its anything close to the 5m price being quoted, Id be sick. He is 31 after all!

The spring was pretty long and painly exciting for us too.

It´s less than month and Rovers fly to Hong Kong. Venky´s wanted to go Asia and surely it would benefit their companys image if Rovers looked good there. I can´t see Asians following love to Rovers whose number one striker is Roberts and play maker is Dunn. Huge week or two ahead, no doubt.

I'm fairly sure if we rewind back to previous pre season periods I'm certain this board was full of similar frustrated posts re the lack of signings, I can recall them going on pre season abroad tours with no new signings at all, for 1 or 2 to turn up for a few games on trial, the point I'm trying to make is the current scenario is no different, rovers have rarely been overly communicative in who they are looking at so just because there may be more money than normal why would that change how they operate?
