They would help a hell of a lot. It is something the owners/Rovers staff desperately need to work on.

Cheers for the update. At present your probably the best spokesperson we have at Rovers

Things can't be THAT bad...

I have never understood why they havent been more secretive with their targets, especially given how daft they looked when openly chasing Ronaldhino et al.

A number of meeings have happened to decide budget and target players, and it seems there are deals just waiting to be done, and yet we have radio silence.

I am also worried, that with the excpetion of Andrews, there is no interest in our deadwood.

Just hope to god the Samba & Hoilett situations are dealt with pronto.

I was under the assumption that Mimms has done an excellent job and Robbo credits him massively for his form picking up.

I have not got to the bottom of that one yet. Perhaps Mimms has another admirer.

Got to say - on a list of priorities to check right now - that one is down the bottom.

What is it with these 'lists' anyway? ;)

The last three or four days typify the way this mb is now. Over the weekend folk were doing cartwheels over how many expensive and exotically named recruits we can sign. A couple of days, a cryptic Nicko post and Tony Warner coming to do some coaching later and the miserablists re emerge from their dark places to take over again. This board needs a shrink.

Tony Warner would be coming as a goalkeeping coach. The link with David Lowe is obvious. The link with Steve Kean less obvious - but I think they were together at Fulham.

Similarly the young guy is coming from Everton to be secretary.

I would rather have Jake Kean as our 3rd choice than Tony bloody Warner if we wanted a back up why didn't we go for Kieran Westwood.

See above eh!

Think someone earlier mentioned Mimms going to work with Kenny at Liverpool. Not sure if there's any truth in that.

The logical thing would be that your man who's just come from Tranmere for youth development is bringing him in as Youth team GK coach.

Nicko do you not have any GOOD news for us??

Not yet.

I will have to run it by the committee, who will take a view, pass it back, come up with some other ideas, have a think about it, perhaps make a small bid, try to get the wages down, spend all time working out where the moles are, perhaps sack a few, wonder why we did that and then have tea.

While everyone involved take their 'advisory fees'.

Modern football ay...

Could it be that Tony Warner is a good coach, even if he was a bad keeper him self ?

I was just joking.

To be fair Warner could make some class saves but his handling was awful and he was very eccentric.

interesting, sounds like an episode of Start Trek from the 90`s

I wonder if there is still Walker blood in the club that are no too happy with the goings on since the take over - not surprised our club owners want to get rid and get their own Sherifs in town, good for them. Its exactly what I would do in that situation with my own business, now lets hope they gets those ducks lined up and start putting some money on the table for players that are on the hit list

What kind of tea? :P

This board does not need a shrink, it needs a bucket of cold water throw over it. Some members are sniffing around like there is some bitch in heat and they need to hit that pronto. We have people slating players like Keane and Cole as not good enough for Rovers - if this is not a sign of a bubble of delusions then I do not know what is.

We are not Real, or City for that matter. We need responsible signings at reasonable prices that have the wage packet taken well into account. Some posters believe that we will sepnd 50 million cash without worrying about wages or even selling Samba. Feelings are going to be hurt by the end of this window.

I don't see how warning people that they are getting carried away with themselves, and should pull in their expectations a bit, is negative.

The tantrums thrown thus far by posters thinking they are not going to get their fix of transfers soon enough, or big enough, is mild in comparison to the nuclear whinge meltdown which will grace this forum if the owners don't spend big and soon.

Communications skills at Rovers just now are clearly not a strong point.

If people were told what was happening on two simple fronts like those there would be less guesswork going on.

There is enough crap flying in other areas - so a simple statement on these things would be a help.

As I wrote, people associated with the old regime are out- doesn't matter if they were any good.

Things on the transfer front are not good as nicko has suggested and I don't blame him for not telling the full story...

Hopefully a professional Premier League Football Club will emerge from all this mess and here's a first for me- in the current scheme of things Kentaro are the good guys. That tells you how far Rovers have slipped.

Just been on Talk Sport that Charlie Adam is not necessarily going to Liverpool as there has been interest from other Perm league clubs ..... should we be interested? or more to the point are we one of the un-named Perm League clubs?

Are you for real ? give them some time FFS, and stop thinking the world is coming to an end because you have heard through the grapevine on here about some misgivings in the club. Lets see if they sign some people in the next couple of weeks, still leaving plenty of weeks to do more business before judging.

People on here (not aimed at you Al) are so fickle its unbelievable, they are like emotiional yo yo`s, good job the majority of them don`t have monthly cycle`s

All well and good but we are doing a Nero here. Fiddling whilst our best players want to leave and messing about with has beens and never weres.

A couple of signings, very soon, might just convince the likes of Samba and Junior that the Venkys mean business and encourage them to stay but it will soon be too late. If they really meant to spend some cash the bids would be in by now. Samba and Hoilett are not stupid and know this.

It was wait until the end of January and now it's wait until Sept 1st. That is far too late. We will have lost the core of our team by then. The time to act is NOW, if it is not already passed. There is no urgency at Ewood and it will all pass us by yet again and another relegation struggle is on the cards.

I agree with you about the sensible signings but not that Keane and Cole would be those sensible signings. Both are presumably on huge wages and neither has shown any sign in the last few seasons of being the player they once were. I'm not asking for big names and I don't even know who most of the players are we've been linked to since I don't follow any other league but the French, so I'm not a spoilt little madam or whatever. I just want to see some decent quality players signed sooner rather than later - decent for us that is. I want them in soonish so that they have chance to settle into the area, the club and the team. So that they can sort things like school for their kids and where they are going to shop (which always seems to matter to their wives) and all the other details before the season starts because otherwise they will not settle quickly.

This should not be beyond us. It's not rocket science. Ambition for us this season is avoiding a relegation scrap and then finishing in the top half of the table. It's keeping the better players we still have and adding to them. I actually don't want a marquee signing to turn our club into a real circus. I don't want a player who gets his name on people's shirts but can't deliver on the pitch because we don't have the right players to give him service, or he thinks he's actually too good for the likes of us, or he's past it.

When dealing in the transfer market surely having Kentaro on board can only be a good thing Philipl.
