Jamesw1982 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I have heard the midfielder could be tom huddlestone.
Roversi Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 im fine with olsson playing left mid but his final ball must improve, no point in having a winger who cant deliver the good. as for what nicko just posted, well.........i cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BuckyRover Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 45-50m? Which other teams outlay is that comparable with? Who spent what last season?
Jamesw1982 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 a team consisting of 6 new players. I got slagged off for posting what team id like yesterday cos apparantly we will never sign 7 new players haha.
Jamesw1982 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Left Winger? Hope papiss cisse is on the striker list too think he could be a really good premiership player
Mullionvagrant Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Left Winger? "Guardado can often be seen as the key man behind set pieces as well". Does he do a long throw in too LOL .... if so good bye peds????
Jamesw1982 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 We bid for him? How much would we be looking at bidding for Cisse , Huddlestone , Guardado , And an un-named young striker plus a defender who nicko says will be big money my guess sdcott dann/ johnson?
dr_awol Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I have heard the midfielder could be tom huddlestone. a very good option beside J.J or Nzonzi imo
Bobby G Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Other than nicko's post this thread has gone to hell.
Mullionvagrant Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 a very good option beside J.J or Nzonzi imo Any news on J.J?? I've not heard any talk in the utd camp about dioufs future for them (not that we want him). More pressing any news on Hoillett?? Lets get the basics sorted...
texasrover Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 So last window they said that there was a chance for a 'marquee signing' that the Venkys would pay for out-of-pocket and wouldn't cut in to our transfer budget. I wonder if that's what is happening here and that the 'elite' striker is seen as this marquee signing that they still haven't got. This would cover the 15-20 million that nicko's so kindly just added to the transfer kitty. They seem like very proud people (which is good) and are probably itching to put their stamp on their arrival.
Roost Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I work in London during the week with a number of Spurs fans who all seem to think that Samba is going there with Huddlestone plus cash coming our way. The figure given by Nicko is perhaps made up partly of the value from a sale of Samba so perhaps the above is not too wide of the mark. Whatever happens with that kind of war chest it's going to be an interesting few months.
Tardyrover Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Where does this info come from? People trying to sell season tickets? I'll believe it when I see it!
Pugg Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Fifty million? Or fifty million if samba is sold? Hope it's true, will just have to wait and see I suppose!
Ralfinho Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Where does this info come from? People trying to sell season tickets? I'll believe it when I see it! Yawn
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Exciting to hear the club are looking to improve all over the place. I just hope the players who are brought into the team will improve the starting XI and will help push this club forward. We could spend all the money in the world but it needs to be on improvements to the first XI and not on risk signings which might or might not work out in our favour. It's important that any player coming in WILL take us to the next level.
youandwhosearmy Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I'd bet 20 mill absolute max being spent his transfer window for us. Have a feelings it's gonna be like spurs about 10 years ago... In the market for everyone but getting very littleI would love to be proved wrong.
Speedie Dived Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Other than nicko's post this thread has gone to hell. You are not wrong there. Not quite sure where this new found craze of just basically naming players has come from?
Ralfinho Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 bed time for you son Until you have posted more than 8 times i think you should get to bed Sunny Jim!!!
Torgeir Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 You think we could tempt Raphael Varane into joining if we put a clause in his contract and a promise of first team football? I see Lens have rejected bids of over €10m... Real and ManU chasing him so possibly not too realistic but not all footballers think alike - one example Vincent Kompany opted to go to Germany to play regularly before joining bigger clubs.
