Nicko, do you know if Junior is in Canada at the moment?

still a little weary about Hoilett. Would love to think he's loyal and wants to repay the club for the opportunities it has provided. But a little iffy on how they (i think it's mainly his dad) is handling his nationality issues. The natural choice is for him to play for Canada, but they seem to be fine holding out for a better opportunity to come around. Which is understandable, I suppose, but I don't want our Rovers to be treated the same way.

thanks again, what is your take on keans comments on talk sport today with being in the champions league in 3-4 season , it made me cringe when i heard it and do venkys think this is also a possibility and do they have the cash to get us there

There's no harm in being positive.

It's just his way.

But, to be fair, my tail would be wagging a bit after some of the names getting chucked about this week.

Signing them is a different matter.

But a few old hands round here have not known anything like it for some time...

Some will always look on the black side and slag Kean or the owners just for having some ambition. Like you said it's just persuading the stars to come to little Rovers. We did it once and can do it again.

too late hes gone ..next..who would you sign?

You can only give comparables when they've moved.

O'Hara went for similar money than Cole's is being chanted at.

But significantly less payroll damage.

And a longer shelf life.....or larger residual value.

Question answered...in full!

You tease.

Not really.

Makes a change to hear of good names being mentioned in high places.

To be fair, when I have verified if there is interest at some of those clubs it usually comes up confirmed.

It's quite good fun at the moment.

It looks to me like the big money will be spent on the big striker.

If you land one of those then the others could tag along.

Some of the targets are a tad ambitious, but others are achieveable.

If you look at the Premier League and clubs in your range then you have more financial clout just now than most.

Everton need to sell to buy, Sunderland are picking up other people's cast-offs, Newcastle are slashing the wage bill, Bolton could do with punting Cahill.

If you knock off some good signings this summer it will se you up for some time.

I think this is also recognised by the powers that be.

Not for us it isn't, but then again it passes an otherwise dull evening. Can you not do something to put Chaddyrovers out of his misery?

nicko chance you could tell us just one name?

Have we put any bids in for players? any article in tomorrow daily mirror about rovers?

The Russian story should be in, but you know that by now.

And a bit on Jermaine Jones.

I am not going into the big striker thing just yet. But give it 24 hours and things may be closer.

If the name are right then it will be worth the wait.

Tomorrow will tell a lot if not in public then certainly in private reference the striking options.

If Keano had said he would have five or six for the first game he would have been slaughtered for only getting three or four...and a couple of players in the team would have been looking over their shoulders.

At the moment I would say five or six by the end of the window.

Possibly even sooner.

Some maybe much sooner.

Thanks Nicko for your updates.

Good Times ahead for rovers!

hopefully we can challenge for Europe next season!

I glad the owners are putting money into the club aswell as reinvesting money from player sales! hope we get the big money striker we want!
