I must admit some of the things are ok. But the bs that comes on places liek this really ###### me off. I would love to sign Cisse been saying that for few months now. Just cannot believe that he is over here and speaking to us when no news has come through about a bid or anything. That would be considered tapping up would it not? And we have just accused man united of doing the exact same thing with Phil Jones.

Depends. Perhaps Cisse's club allowed him to talk about personal terms, meet the manager etc. whilst the clubs were finalising the fee. Or that the deal has been kept quiet as the media go on about the Raos, Kean and other topics. Of course, this could all be a load of rubbish.

Yes but us Rovers FANS do, maybe you should remember that you're posting on a Blackburn's fans forums, where people do give a crap about our finances, where any transfer money is coming from and how these deals with affect our long term financial integrity and whether we are adhering to financial rules.

You are a freelance journalist you get paid per story and would guess you get more money for bigger stories. So for you, a non-Rovers fan who's only income is writing about Rovers and occasionally our neighbours it benefits you financially to have a big war chest and lots of names to write stories about...I can almost see the £ signs in your eyes right.

Well good for you, it seems you might be able to earn a bit more dosh this window and fair play on that but please don't come on a Rovers fans message board and act like it doesn't matter where this money (if it even exists) is coming from in unimportant and that the money we spend constitutes 'daft equations'. It is important to us fans who don't make a living off speculation like you do.

Thank god you don't run a Premier League club because the new rules which come into force this season can't just be dismissed as "daft equations".

Think you missed this bit "it won't be debt."

Anybody watch The Wire? You know Season 3 with the "free zones" - pushing a horrible and damning section of society out of harms way, allowing normal people to resume their normal lives?

That's what this transfer section is. I'm going.

Possibly the best TV show ever. Just watched it for the second time from start to finish and the area you are talking about was called Hamsterdam.

Two different opinions, I'm going to agree with....Tea Pot. There are three possibilities..

1) Alan Nixon has made it all up and there is no £50m war chest

2) There is a war chest of £50m but only after the sales of Samba and probably Kalinic/Pedersen to boot.

3) There is a war chest of £50m available right now without anyone else leaving.

Now if you believe 3, like Veevs and many others here, do you not worry where that extra £28.5m is coming from? We've got 16.5m from the Jone deal as well as our massive £5m a window money. Now nicko claims another £5m is 'being brought forward' and I'm surprised everyone's fine with this. We should not be spending more than one window's money at a time IMO, what happens in January when we have an injury and we need a signing but have nothing to spend because Kean gets told "you spent it in the summer"? Even so, that still leaves us with £23.5m to find from somewhere, from a bunch of people who's main business only brings in £10m a year in profits (and please don't give me this 'they own other business which make more' nonsense, if that was true they would be promoting those brand names and not 'Venky's' wouldn't they?).

Call me a pessimistic, call me negative but the only way I can see us spending £50m is if we lose P.Jones (already gone), Samba, Kalinic and Pedersen which will mean a complete rebuilding job of our squad. Else, if we spend that amount but somehow manage to hang on to Samba and the others then I fear we are taking out loans or using money we don't have and could be the next Leeds/Portsmouth.

The squad, IMO, needed a good £10m chucked at in in January but instead we barely paid more than £4m on transfer fees and I'm expected to believe that these same people, who are quoted as saying they will give us £5m a window which fits in with perfectly how much disposable income they have from their businesses, suddenly have pulled £24m out of nowhere and are giving it to us out of the kindness of their hearts? Has Mrs D suddenly gone off the idea we can get by with loan players ans freebies which not so long ago, according to her, would have had us in the top 6? No way....

You put in this post my own fears. But of course that means I am being negative. Get ready for the abuse you may receive for posting what you wrote.

I most of the trouble on the board comes from that fact that some people trust/like Kean and other don't. 50 million is a lot to spend but does it include wages? Could Hughes spend it better than Kean? Does anything actually matter as most footballing people are on their hols till the squads come back for pre-season training?

The transfers are made by jerome Anderson anyway? So the manager is irrelevant.

meh. Sometimes deals are done right and well. Which means that the media didn't get a sniff of it before it happened. Just because we haven't heard any stories of bids, doesn't mean there hasn't been one. Regarding transfers, closed doors are good doors if you ask me.

could somebody please translate this for us?

http://www.goal.com/id-ID/news/784/transfer-pemain/2011/06/23/2544234/giliran-blackburn-rovers-dekati-papiss-demba-cisse

this is in indonesia

it mention cisse and rovers

Keep open the possibility for Papiss Demba Cisse left SC Freiburg on the transfer market this summer.

Blackburn Rovers competes with fellow Premier League team, Sunderland, United Kingdom to recruit international striker who scored 24 goals in Senegal last season. The desire for new challenges rather than Cisse looking for new secrets, but until now there has been no real offers accepted Freiburg.

"I am a lover of Middlesbrough. My friend, Demba Ba, play well there. All the players love the Premier League. One day I will play there, but there are also Club Germany who wants me, "said Cisse.

"Freiburg will decide whether to sell me, otherwise I will persist until the next season and I will confirm my ability to score again."

Blackburn currently have the funds to fix the squad after removing Phil Jones to Manchester United, while West Ham needed a new striker after Darren Bent to Aston Villa. A Banderol requested Freiburg for Cisse of £ 13 million.

Don't know how to do links etc, but best translation I can do.

Think you missed this bit "it won't be debt."

Which contradicted the previous sentence of "I don't give a @#/? where's it coming from". How can you know it won't be debt but admit you don't care enough to check?

Besides the new rules are a little more complex than simply stopping people using debt to buy players.

Says he's a lover of Premier League, not Middlesbrough

Just to clarify I was commenting on Nicko's post about the 40-50m not saying I believe it in the slightest, the list Nicko gave indicated it would not include a replacement for Samba.

And yes I would be worried about where the money came from and no I don't believe that it would be enough to get us into the top 6 (ManC, ManU, Liv, Arse, Chelsea and spuds) those guys still out spend us have better squads already and can attract much higher class players. I also dont think we need to spend that sort of money to get in the top 10 as the gap from 6th to 7th in terms of spending power is vast.

Clarification acknowledged, apology granted.
