Deigo Forlan, wants to come back to England and is available for 7m.

Would love it if we could persuade him to come here.

32 yr old for 7m is too much imo. would still be high in wages and madrid seem keen to let him go. maybe they see the legs have gone.

Someone said to me "well what a surprise. Tottenham were in for Phil Jones. Who are they NOT linked with?" It's bloody true, too! Vucinic, Samba, Forlan... hell, wouldn't be surprised if they wanted Jermaine Jones next!

No point being other than we have two journalists who have different opinions, it was just a statement of fact.

Nicko, chose to see it as some kind of insult and have a pop at me for pointing this out.

In all fairness you did refer to him as "our resident hack" although maybe non-intentional,it does come across as a dig at Alan.

I see Kamy is in having a read, have you `owt for us lad? :D

God you're a beacon of positive energy tonight! Maybe you'd like to go drown some puppies to cheer yourself up ;)

At least we are being linked to some positive moves for good players for a change.

Are you trying to re-define the word 'bore'?

Have you not got some trains to spot?

You seem to be new and a trifle busy. You have not seen me abusive.

Yet.

Male menopause I'd wager. Be careful with the insults Alan .... we don't want you picking up a ban like the good Doctor.

Just out of interest, does anybody 'in the know', know whether or not this new signing (the one which has already been completed) is going to be a regular in the first team next season? Or is he another for the future?

Cheers

This last day or so I remembered why I had him on ignore.

Sounds like we'll be signing a very young midfielder first if you add up the rumours. Possibly that Fivers, Fyffes or whatever his name is. He may be a good player, I don't know.

I swear, the tension in here is like having a 450 pound gorilla in your bedroom, sitting in the corner - staring at you, that wants to have sex with your face.

With all due respect we haven't been linked with him, except by a couple of posters on here who have merely said he is available. I don't think Presty On Tour's post constitutes a link.

Spurs, on the other hand, have been linked with him.

Besides that, given the choice who do you honestly think he would pick?

I'm not being negative modes, I'm being realistic. If you want some positivity I think Cisse is a possible and a good turn out to be a very good signing...that better? :)

Gorillas are usually quite gentle creatures, Jambo who lived in a zoo in Jersey being an example. And their Penises are about 2 or 3 inches long.

Is there an 11 O'Clocker to break the tension?

Hoping this signing is a good one, if it's an unknown and a cheap then I look forward to seeing him in action.

I'll ignore the pathetic insults that you both open and close your post with, a man with advanced years like you doesn't suit that kind of childish banter.

Anyway, argumentum ad hominem aside, you and the LT man are making two quite different claims. You, sir, are claiming that will buy 5 or 6 players to the tune of £45m-£50m regardless of whether we sell Samba (you said if we do sell him it will be for 'loads' whatever that means). Cryer, on the other hand, is saying that our transfer budget could be up to £40m but only if you include Samba's fee should he leave. And in the interview he values Samba at 15m so actually your valuations are £20m-£25m off from each other. Quite a big difference.

Irrespective of the figures - should we not be celebrating the fact that for the first time in ages - both are saying that all the incoming transfer fees will be spent (no paying off short falls in the wages budget) - and that there is money on top.

To be honest this summer could prove either right - and personally if the right player isn't available I would prefer they don't waste money on an average alternative - potentially leaving money in the budget.

Lets all just enjoy the ride (try not to worry where the money is coming from - my biggest fear if I am honest - would hate the club to end up like Pompey) - and see where we are come 1st September.

And about 3-4 inches wide. I have heard them likened to a can of tuna, or called a schlort.
