I can't understand anyone that's TOTALLY anti venkys. Another young south American prospect at Blackburn rovers, venkys must be in it for the long haul really, the last 6 months we've got rochina, formica and now baez, when was the last time this happened to us? Never. If these players and other young players we get come good we've got exciting times ahead! How can u criticise venkys for this?

Hope we do get cisse and a few other first team players so we can push on next season n get a squad that does well

I'll hang around as long as I'm not banned from the site, thank you very much, in the hope that someone might actually give us some REAL news. While the majority of people in here might worship every word you type on here, I don't know you from Adam, and most of the time, the rubbish I see at 11pm or thereafter, clogging up social networking sites and forcing this one onto its knees is usually either stuff we already know. How you get paid for that I'll never know...

I think I'll stick around personally, thanks. I'm quite enjoying the interesting points of view of certain members of the site with realistic and almost fantasy-like targets we could be going after. This isn't your thread. This isn't Nicko's thread. Nor is it either of you two's site. So instead of grouping together in your little clique and criticising people for having an opinion, grow up and get on with what the thread was created for.

I thought this myself earlier when I saw a photo of him. In the face, he looks quite a bit like Cole. I'm slightly concerned about the amount of penalties he scored last season though. While 24/34 is an impressive feat, it's less impressive with many penalties. And we all know how many penalties a season WE get.

To be fair, we've only recently had some excellent young talent come through in Olsson, Hoilett and Jones and another talented young player signed in N'zonzi. So not too bad recently at all.

That said, really happy with the signings of Rochina, Formica and Baez all in all. Personally, don't care if we sign big names or not, as long as we're signing some players we can develop into big names on the cheap, I'm more than happy.

Baez is surely not one of the 5/6 signings? 6 figure fee (sounds like a dingle).....more one for the future.

Better to snap them up young than when they are costing you £10m+

This lad looks very tidy. Carrying a bit of puppy fat perhaps, but i'm sure we'll sort that out. Very impressed with how well he keeps the ball moving. Dare i say, he could have one or two attributes we have missed since a wise old Turk left our midfield? Probably a little early to talk about that. But he definately seems to play in a similar area of the pitch. Seems to do things nice and simple which is good to see.

In regards to Papiss Cisse. He looks a handful. Maybe a little more hungry for it that the likes of Vucinic?

I read he scored 4 penalties, which if true isn't that many.

Yer we seem to have a nice little influx of young players at our disposal now, been refreshing watching hoillet and ollson last year being able to run at defenders, definetly missed that the last few years. Let's just hope more is to come from rochina and formica.

If we don't get Jones from schalke we need some more steel in midfield though. Think viera would be a good shout but don't think he'd come and might not have the engine for a full 90 nomore. But nzonzi and co would raise their game though having him around
