I wonder if all the negative posters are talking loud now, when there is still time to be negative, since I thin we all know that by the end of the window, we will in fact have a better squad than we had a few weeks ago. Can't we try to keep this thread about transfers and not how Kean managed the team last season?

That's great to hear, fantastic in fact.

Care to name everyone who tells you things in confidence? I mean if its good enough for Philip then it should be good enough for all right?

Or is it because his view is slightly different from the surf riders and should be attacked? Or is it just popular to smear him?

I dunno myself, but goose and gander an all that.

Busier than a Baghdad brickie.

There is something involving a Rovers target that appears to be moving today...trying to get to the bottom of it...getting closer to working out what is going on, but when you see the tale you will understand why it is a complex web to unweave.

Anyway, back to the day job.

Surely Miranda with his pre-contract agreement with Atletico. Too obvious?

For left back, has anyone seen Eric Lichaj playing the Gold Cup this week? He's been absolute class (not just saying that because he's a countryman) - his 1v1 defending is of a very high level, and going forward he is as dangerous as Olsson with runs and taking guys 1 on 1 - currently sits the bench for Villa so we could get him on the cheap. Anyone else seen him play?

Lichaj has just signed a new three year deal at Villa

Bassong and cash fro Samba wouldnt be the worst deal in history if it came to fruition. If they are offering him to Bolton he is obviously surplus to requirements.

Bassong would be a good signing for us as a replacement for Samba. I would move for Collins of Villa for Jones replacement.

With Nelsen and Hanley aswell plus Collins and Bassong that will be a strong 4 centre defenders.

Two names mentioned in the last couple of pages make me cringe Danny Rose and James Collins both terrible players. Make that 3 names Hanley shocking defender never seen him have a good game. Surley there are better options than Rose and Collins.

Not likely to happen then. Braddock and I are hoping it's Heskey :D

as far as i am aware i am sure kean said they would be going straight into the first team squad and challenging straight away.

I can't remember whether it was Rochina or Kean that said it, but after his decent performance against Everton someone said about it being a bonus to be playing this season as he was signed for next season really.

Also, if we wanted Formica then we had no choice but to sign him in January, he'd be at Monaco now if we hadn't.

Huh? As I recall, during January or Feburary, we were seventh after having beaten West Brom twice and Liverpool 3-1, dreaming of challenging for Europe and even Chris Samba and Phil Jones signed a new contract then. Of course when things looked rosy back then, Kean thought he could buy a couple of kids for the future.

None of us at that time expected Blackburn to go on a slide all the way down. But even after the winless run, we never once slipped into the relegation zone. Not trying to downplay our problems back then, but you do have to admit at that period of time it was a good choice. Plus we had Jermanine Jones and Roque Santa Cruz, the former of whom shone and the latter who none of us thought would flop at that time.

Be a little more fair to Kean, yeah? :D

Hang on matey, I thought Santa Cruz would flop and said so repeatedly at the time.
