I would have to think Roque is way off the radar after hearing some of the names that are being worked on. Hope so too.

Kalinic will have to wait and find out his fate. If somebody made a bid he would be gone. Nobody has. Wonder why?

From this range I would say Rochina will have to wait to get a game if the players being chased are landed.

I hope Kalinic doesn't go he needs to play with a striker partner not on his own he's shown what he can do v West brom.

I would love to see Forlan and Cisse here. I think Forlan is actually better now at 32 than he was as a young man with United. He had a good World Cup and he's very highly regarded on the world scene.

Cisse looks like a very good goal scorer who I think would suit the premier league well, good age as well. A good older striker and a prolific younger striker would be great to start the new season with.

Fingers and toes crossed. Then after that we can look at a midfielder and some defenders eh? :D

So no Demba :angry2: Not happy about that.

How about Alejandro Martinuccio or Szabolcs Huszti?.

Mutu and Jonathan Biabiany still up for grabs!.

No Demba Cisse yet..... i hope that is.... yet hopefully next week

and are you refering to the same Mutu banned for drug taking.... not really a family club image the Venkys might be looking for

If signing a new contract doesn't mean much as you state, then again I would ask why they haven't signed?

..it was in the quote you posted.

Because the word 'Summer' would then be inaccurate. A bit like your sentence as we sold Alan Judge and Alex Marrow, we also got loan fees for Nick Blackman, Amine Linganzi, Pascal Chimbonda, Aaron Doran and El-Hadji Diouf.

It's just a list of the summer transfers, chill out dude.

Cant remember where I wrote that?

I read the summer part, I thought it was interesting why you deciding to concentrate on that rather than looking at the overall picture- I can however see your point lol.

Believe this link was on TalkSport the other day, but I just like the way it is worded here so that it sounds as though Blackburn are of equal stature with Madrid.

"On the other hand, Javi Marquez is one of the most sought-after players in the La Liga with the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Blackburn all keeping tabs on the central midfielder."

I had heard Cisse has a nack for missing as more than he scores.. but considering the number of goals he gets he must get in shooting opportunities a fair few times per game.

As for Jnr H I a sure that it will be allot easier to get him to sign if he sees some action on the transfer market.

As do Udinese, and they make a LOT of money doing it. (Sanchez?) Not only that, but their scouting network is one of the best in the world, in my opinion. And this season, they benefited from a real Scudetto challenge, ending the season in Europe.

Mutu was a free transfer & £38,000 a week for Cesena, another bargain.Jonathan Biabiany in talks with Genoa,Parma and Cagliari.

£12 million seems alot in my opinion for a guy who has only had 1 good season in his career at top level.

So did Andy Cole but he was still a class act for us. If you get into the position to score amd miss some it's better than a striker who never gets or creates chances and still misses the odd one he does get.

Sounds like a bargain on first viewing. On closer inspection though, it's a two year deal and he's only played 31 games in the last 2 seasons.

He's hardly been the most committed player throughout his career so I doubt he'll age well. It's very risky.

The reason why Alan Nixon is being secretive and is only feeding us snippets is because of rival media outlets - if he leaks his stories here, they will be all over it and the Mirror won't be able to monopolize the big news he's working so hard to get.

I know why he only gives us snippets. What I meant was I don't know whether I'd be better not knowing those snippets i.e. not reading them or whether I prefer to know just the bits rather than nothing and find out when it's a done deal.

How have these clubs got this kind of money to spend? I thought parma were skint?

Exactly. Last season we had Santa Cruz unable to get into goal scoring opportunities and Hoilett's deliveries falling to N'Zonzi. We have the potential to create quite a few chances.

And haven't we recently sold Fielding, one of the best up and coming keepers out there?

Anyway, Cisse sounds excellent. And I wouldn't mind Forlan at all. He may be 32 but he is exceptionally talented and it appears he keeps himself in playing condition, unlike others. We would get a couple good years out of him. And he was smart enough to dodge a bullet with his underwear model girlfriend, if the stories are to be believed. :P

Benni McCarthy was the same.. missed some easy chances, but in his 1st season was in the right place to score.

Definitely a good coup for Cesena. Not entirely sure why Fiore' let him go though.

Is his £38k a week wage at Cesena, or was that the amount at Fiore'?

Rats. That means Amauri is out of the race for a permanent move to Parma then? Hope the Milan rumours are true and he naffs off there. I'd HATE for him to come to Ewood. I'd have no option but to hurl abuse at the useless... ahem.

I agree with this also. Surely he can't improve on 24/34, so it's either sideways or a slope downwards. But, on the same token, £12m and a good Premier League season, and we'll have Citeh or Chelski coming in with £20m for him, and that's a tidy profit, and a decent start to the Udinese business model. ;)

He was banned for half a season in 2010 then suspended for the rest of 2010 for going AWOL, which is why he didn't play as much as he would have normally. He was back in the team for 2011 though, and played quite a few games.

All that does make him a risk, but he's one talented individual, and a very high-profile name in my eyes. Must be quite likeable too, given the Fiorentina players each offered to pay some of his Chelsea court fine.
