I'd much rather Rovers take their time and sign the right players at the right price, if that means waiting until transfer deadline day then so be it.

Very true, however if we wait too long trying to secure our 1st choice signings and for some reason the deal doesn't happen we risk having our 2nd or possibly even 3rd choice going elsewhere. I prefer the move quickly mantra to make sure that we get the best of what is out there.

Genuine question. How come you have such knowledge of italian football?

It's only the Juventus stuff that interests me if I'm honest, but quite a bit of the Serie A stuff comes through emails and Twitter from people who know their stuff over there. Stuff from guys like Gabrielle Marcotti, James Horncastle, Adam Digby, etc. plus mates that keep their eyes on Sky Italia. Even BRFCS's very own Roberto Policano hits the nail on the head. Probably helps that he's Italian, by the sounds of his name. ;)

The clubs over there are a lot more open than the Premier League clubs about dealings and all that. Much more transparent. The information is there. You've just got to know where to look. :) (Don't trust Goal.com and TuttoSport.)

Sounds like a bargain on first viewing. On closer inspection though, it's a two year deal and he's only played 31 games in the last 2 seasons.

He's hardly been the most committed player throughout his career so I doubt he'll age well. It's very risky.

True it is risky, but could well pay off for a club.If he plays all season no reason why he cannot score 15 or so goals.

Same go's for Ba,risky but if it comes off masterstroke for Newcastle.

Parma have new owners now.Biabiany won't cost that much,Parma will pay over 3 years normally.

"Is his £38k a week wage at Cesena, or was that the amount at Fiore'?"

At Cesena huge money for them, but he could well be the difference between survival and relegation come the end of next season.

Amauri could go to Parma, but plenty of clubs interested.Parma meant to be signing Sergio Almiron next week.

"Has he improved year on year though?"Played in Ligue 2 for Metz when he had a better season,Freiburg took a risk on the player for £1 million and it paid off in his second season.Freiburg have signed Garra Dembele as his replacement,so he is definitely off.

Decent player, but not convinced he's worth the money, hope the risk pays off.I would hate to see another Portsmouth situation for you guys.

I've been busy of late so I missed this one by a day, but we are being connected to a move for Edu from Rangers, now I love him but as an American I'm biased. what does everyone else think... how much would he cost? and Is he a replacement for Jermaine or would we be going after both?

Don't think anyone apart from you would be keen :)

Liverpool have made an initial enquiry at Blackburn regarding Chris Samba, Martin Olssen and David Hoilett. It is believed that a combined offer of 22m would see the deal go through. Blackburn are expected to tie up deals for Pappe Cisse, Ryan Bertrand, Daniel Sturridge of Chelsea, Wes Brown of Man Utd for around 25m within the next week. Kean is also inviting Jonathan Woodgate, Sol Campbell and Owen Hargreaves to pre season training. Kean has also been rebuffed after asking David Moyes about the availability of Tim Cahill and is now to turn his attention towards Jermaine Jenas.

Posted on Sky Sports rumours haha says it all about sky and its viewers

Christ, my arse went then until I saw it was Sky Sports Rumours.

For what reasons?

Any one know?

Hes fallen out with the management and board a lot. Got a huge fine earlier this week. I think its a culmination of things. He also demanded to take a penalty when not the designated taker and missed and got a lot of abuse for that. Hes an idiot. But a class player

If we sign Cissé it would be a statement! And if we can manage to get Forlan, he for me would be the marquee signing and we will get a lot of interest from South America.

Remember Forlan was awesome in the World Cup 2010 and he scored goals for fun two seasons ago.

Hum, not so sure. We play important games in August, and also being able to bed newcomers into the side is crucial. If we were still struggling for targets at the end of the first week in uly I will be a little concerrned, but have no worries for now.

Are you sure that his contract has been terminated?

My german aint that good. But from what I could read on Wolfsburgs website, it said that Diego will find a new club, but that he will train with Wolfsburg until that happens.

Not a single word about a contract being terminated.

I don't want players who will rock the boat.

True, but let's be serious. We have been promised a marquee signing, this guy could be the one, will he rock the boat more than any other marquee signing? Probably not. The most passionate and best players are always handful, it is just the way the world is.
