I don't know whether or not i'm pleased that things are relatively quiet regarding serious business that we may do. On the one hand, we could be keeping our cards close to our chest but on the other, it could mean that we're nowhere near securing our targets.

What does seem a little disconcerting, and it isn't just from the updates that we provide/receive on here, is that we are struggling to be realistic both in terms of targets and in terms of financing those deals. If that is the case, I would much rather we look to secure 'sound' signings such as David Vaughan or Seb Larsson (although we missed that one now!). We cannot afford to enter the season with big holes in our squad simply because we aren't prepared enough, in relation to how we conduct our transfer business.
