PAFELL Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 what is everyones views on trying to get steven taylor from newcastle as a replacement? I would rather have James collins from villa if Rovers are to sell Samba.

braddock Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I would rather have James collins from villa if Rovers are to sell Samba. I agree. I wouldn't be expecting a superstar or anyone of Samba's quality, otherwise they'd be joining a higher positioned club. A steady centre back would be my preference and Collins appears to be that. Certainly not a shirker.

modes98 Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Rovers demand £12m and a picture of Samba looking a bit different. Case for the defence: Samba in pre-season action for Blackburn in Hong Kong last month Mm good work.
Jackson Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I like the thinking behind this. Will old sack-face fall for it?: Chris Samba in action yesterday:
chaddyrovers Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I would rather have James collins from villa if Rovers are to sell Samba. Collins would be a good signing for us but I can't see Villa selling him tho. If Samba ever left then either Collins or Dann would be a good replacement for Samba.
philipl Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 philip, wrong in what way? I don't know what price has been pencilled in for Samba but it is significantly more than £12m.
67splitscreen Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I really can't see us accepting anything under 15m, 10m + Walker and Naughton leave the expensive (wages) deadwood for them to deal with
dubdubdub Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 They'll never let Walker go. Olsson and him as full backs/wing backs and we'd destroy teams on the break...wishful thinking. Plus I don't think we'll see a right back as a priority position that needs filling. Next year yes. This season we should be looking at more important areas.
Mullionvagrant Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 No Samba on the field/bench for todays game. Anybody know the resosn for this? Is there any significance in his absence?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 He's got a groin strain from HK. He's watching on.

chaddyrovers Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 He is there watching the game!!!!! Lee Grooby, the rovers internet manager is there watching it and has said that Samba has travel there and will be watching the game. No point risking him in a friendly when season starts on Saturday.

The season starts next week, I think you mean.
roverandout Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 no he means next season, rovers' relegation has already been confirmed.
braddock Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 no he means next season, rovers' relegation has already been confirmed. Your team rather scabbed that draw at the weekend. It seems your defence will always be appalling.
braddock Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 are you saying im a dingle? I can't see any other explanation for the recent trolling.
roverandout Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 im not trolling, im giving my own concerned view, i dont want things to be like they are but in my opinion i cant see it any other way.
philipl Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Strong indications that Fabregas and Nasri are both leaving Arsenal. Very concerned that this will mean Samba is going.
