what is everyones views on trying to get steven taylor from newcastle as a replacement?

I would rather have James collins from villa if Rovers are to sell Samba.

I agree. I wouldn't be expecting a superstar or anyone of Samba's quality, otherwise they'd be joining a higher positioned club. A steady centre back would be my preference and Collins appears to be that. Certainly not a shirker.

Collins would be a good signing for us but I can't see Villa selling him tho.

If Samba ever left then either Collins or Dann would be a good replacement for Samba.

They'll never let Walker go. Olsson and him as full backs/wing backs and we'd destroy teams on the break...wishful thinking. Plus I don't think we'll see a right back as a priority position that needs filling. Next year yes. This season we should be looking at more important areas.

Lee Grooby, the rovers internet manager is there watching it and has said that Samba has travel there and will be watching the game. No point risking him in a friendly when season starts on Saturday.
