scumbag ? very harsh T4E!

are you confident he'll be replaced with a top defender ???

At the moment we have NO defender.

Don't forget he has previous with stuff like this. He came out and publicly said he wanted away during our relegation fight when the club was unstable and needed it's captain to step up.

I dont agree with that, we are without a leader from the clubs boardroom right down to the players on the pitch.

The owners are useless, the manager is a coach that treats everybody with kid gloves and on the pitch the players are totally not interested.

I think even Samba would struggle to get our lads playing at the moment.

Kean is too soft to let him and Givet sit at home playing Fifa on the xbox when they should be on the pitch.

Surprised at your disagreement. We all know the defence is better with Samba playing. Take him out and the defence suffers. As to wether he is genuine injured now, is a different subject. But as things stand today, no matter who the manager is. Take Samba out of the defence and the team suffers. They do so because the club does not have anybody to take his place. The squad is far far to thin.

Yes the owners are useless, Kean is just an advert for blind stupidity.

If he is not injured, he should play and do well to help the club. At least assist us in getting points on the board, but don't pretent to be injured and letting your teammates down. Nelsen, Nzonzi and Hanley have tried their best, but they need Samba to lead them.

Scumbag. He must go, immediately.

Personally and reading between the lines of the turnaround acheived at HT v Blackpool last season when rumours abounded that Kean had been locked out of the dressing room I'd offer Samba the position of player manager. Be unusual and might shock some but player managers used to be quite common in the 70's, Samba is a fine defender, an inspirational leader and massive driving force. We desperately need a manager and he'd be a low cost option. Obviously a desk man would be necessary to work alongside and shuffle paper around.

I'm not attempting to support anarchy but if the squad did respond to Samba rather than Kean at the end of last season then the owners are stupid for not acting on this and no effin wonder that he is frustrated into refusing to play.... If he is that is.

I am not saying Samba is'nt a good defender and when he is on form we are a stronger team I am simply saying that what use is a captain that has had his head turned.

The players need a leader not someone who for the second time is looking to move on to another club.

Well, he couldn't do any worse surely!

Are you thinking of some sort of Samba + experienced manager to act as mentor? It would be interesting, but the press would have a field day. But stuff them.

We are getting to the point of no return. The press are already having a field day judging by reports yesterday from the Villa press box.

Samba suggested as Manager on the basis of hearsay that he may have had a role in a second half turn around last season, by the man that continually laments the sacking of Allardyce as rash and ill thought out. Amazing.

Correct. But so is the downward path of BRFC. Questions for you T4E

1. How do you view Steve Kean's elevation to manager from the ranks of a training ground wannabee?

2. Do you think Kean should stay as manager?

3. If the answer to that is 'Yes' then God help you, if the answer is 'no' then who do you think we should approach, how much will they want and how much money will the owners be prepared to part with? I think you may find a discrepency there.

4. I was of course right about Allardyce. I am working on a hunch re:last March v Bpool. Please note...I am suggesting this as a way forward and not with an agenda to benefit my own wealth and influence as Anderson obviously did.

Answers in caps above Gordon. A couple of questions for you -

1. In what way were those questions relevant?

2. Did I insult Allardyce or praise Kean without realising?

Guys, I don't understand what you are squabbling about, a player manager just isn't going to happen is it, clearly? You must know that?

Either Kean falls on his sword, does the honourable thing, he gets help / moved back to coaching or the owners react to events.

A player revolt might cause the latter, but none of them would end up being a manager in any capacity.

We are in trouble, look at the goals we conceeded last season even WITH Samba.

Says Salgado "But sometimes when the owners come in, talk about new signings and new era sometimes it is a boost.

It is good they say they are going to splash some money because that hasn’t happened for the last five years and I look forward to that happening in the future. But now we have to be realistic.”

If this is what Samba was told before he signed a contract and now we are two defeats into the season having sold £23 million of talent and purchased 5.5 million.

Then I can't blame Samba for wanting to leave and believe he owes us nothing. Fans at every club are the same, he will be cheered whereever he goes if he plays well, but IMO his trust at the moment has been betrayed.

Maybe/unlikely Venkys will spend the 17 million from sales plus the transfer kitty promised in the next few days, but if not then Samba has every right to leave.

In January, Kean said once the players knew of the exciting “plans of the owners” that would help in making some want to stay at the club.

We have never heard of these plans or there has never been any great detail communicated in relation to them – would love (or maybe not) to hear what rubbish has been spouted.

I agree we are in trouble. It is not just down to Samba that Rovers conceed a lot of goals. But the team as a whole. This is down to how the manager sets them up, training and match preperation.

Tosh. That was never a rumor, you just made that up right here and now. One or two people on here said "It wouldn't surprise me if the players decided to change Kean's tactics at half time against Bpool" and that was it. No quotes, no "insiders" and certainly no stories of Kean being locked out (is that even possible?) of a room like a 5 year old child.

Okey, so Nasri will now go to City, and Arsenal receives yet another large transfer fee, will Wenger go out and buy before the window ends? Will he go after Samba?

Seems like Cahill and Jagielka are both further down the line in the pecking order, but who knows? Samba has hinted before in the papers that he wants to go to Arsenal.

Everton and Bolton both have a good manager capable of persuading their stars to stay. Does Kean have that? :P

Coyle has been trying to sell Cahill all Summer. He needs to. They need to spend themselves but have no money.

Everton have been told they need to sell before they buy.
