budha Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Money going in on Samba to QPR and they have now been backed as favourites to 8/11 For the over £15M fee he should be sold. Not even he's worth that much.

Mercer Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I think Samba will go for less than £10m. If Rovers' finances are as bad as some are speculating, evidenced by our inactivity, it will be Barclays who are calling the shots and it would not surprise me if values between Rovers and Barclays have been agreed for every single player and once matched, off they go. Like it or not, Barclays will be feeling our balls and it wont be lovingly !
Mercer Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Going, going, almost gone ! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/9008591/Harry-Redknapp-winning-the-race-to-secure-Christopher-Sambas-move-from-Blackburn-Rovers.html

Bassong wants to leave - but not to come here. In fairness, who could blame him ?
Hughesy Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Going, going, almost gone ! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/9008591/Harry-Redknapp-winning-the-race-to-secure-Christopher-Sambas-move-from-Blackburn-Rovers.html No quotes and nothing new in that. £8m?? Na!
krypton1980 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Now PSG want Samba as well according to the Daily Mail. Could Paul Clement be behind this?
joey_big_nose Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Going, going, almost gone ! http://www.telegraph...urn-Rovers.html Reading your posts it's almost like your enjoying all this....?
Amo Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Reading your posts it's almost like your enjoying all this....? He's Miseryman. It's what he does.
Mercer Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Reading your posts it's almost like your enjoying all this....? Don't talk feckin shyte. After supporting for some 50 years and having a handful of tickets, what has happened to our club is a real kick in the b@lls. If I could find just one thing to be happy about where Rovers are concerned, I wouldn't be so miserable as some think. I challenge you, can you find one positive since Venky's took over ?
John Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Samba saying broken promises at the club and wants to move to one with more ambition - he has been after a move for a while however I wonder what some of the players must really be thinking with an awful manager, and owners, in charge. Jerome said the club was rocking last January, now it is crumbling.
Puffsan Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Venky's won't sell him cheap. I'm 100% certain that we will get minimum 10-12 mill for samba. Even if samba request a transfer they would want every little penny. We are talking about venkys, they have'nt done anything to make the fans happy, they will not care that samba gets angry And the bank can't force a sale. They can cut rovers credit and maybe in a worst//best case scenario put rovers under administration, but as it is now they don't have any power over who we sell and at what price

If I could find just one thing to be happy about where Rovers are concerned, I wouldn't be so meserable as some think. I challenge you, can you find one positive since Venky's took over ? They balls'ed up Jbob's contract which means he now isn't allowed to play. On Samba, big loss to lose him if he goes. Just adds another nail into our coffin. (Seems like that's all that happens these days)
Hughesy Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Samba goes and we go down im afraid....he's massive for us!
davulsukur Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 With Kean in charge we are down regardless i'm afraid Hughesy
Hughesy Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 With Kean in charge we are down regardless i'm afraid Hughesy We shall see....
davulsukur Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Your actually backing Kean to keep us in the league? (Providing we keep Samba)
Mercer Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Venky's won't sell him cheap. I'm 100% certain that we will get minimum 10-12 mill for samba. They can cut rovers credit and maybe in a worst//best case scenario put rovers under administration, but as it is now they don't have any power over who we sell and at what price I suspect that they have us by the short and curlies. IMV, Samba will go for less than £10m and probably the £7.5m Spurs are supposed to have just offered. Make no mistake, Barclays will emply their own people who 'specialise' in football matters and, IMO, they will be far more realistic than anyone presently employed by Rovers. I think we are 'on the brink' and in this sitauation, your major creditor holds all the cards and calls the shots.
Hughesy Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Your actually backing Kean to keep us in the league? (Providing we keep Samba) Not Kean, the players. He will just get lucky like last season if we keep our best players.
Muddboy Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Oh dear, the big man's at it again. Despite the club saying he's going nowhere, seems Samba is prepared to push his way through the exit door. Quotes from this morning's L'Equipe: “Recently, mentally, it was difficult,” he told L’Equipe. I tried to keep my level of performance, but I feel it is time for me to change. “The club does not change at all. I am resigned. “(I have) always put the interests of the club before (myself). “I invested a lot, I always tried to lead by example, but things have not gone as I had said. I hope people understand me.” The defender has also been linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain. “For now, there is nothing concrete,” he added. “In any case, it’s flattering. “The club has taken a different scale, it is not the PSG a few years ago. “There Leonardo, Ancelotti ...I’m sure they will bring great players. “ “We’ll see if the interest is confirmed or not, but it would be nice for me to go home. The most important thing is to find an ambitious club. I would like something else.” Disappointing.
Ricky Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 The best thing that can happen for us is for PSG to get involved in the bidding. We may then actually get what he's worth.
Mike Graham Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Ancelotti v Coco !!! There is no contest. Whoosh.........he will be gone, escaped from the Ewood mad house.
BRFCBOY Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Can't afford to sell our best players especially big chris, if we do we might as well all pack in now, just praying that barclays don't force the issue on this one

He has given alot to us over the years and stuck around in times of need for quite some time. Led by example last year and has been our best player this. At the end of the day these quotes change nothing though. Its what we already knew. Just hope we can get a fair value for him. The offers on the table right now are quite insulting. The footballing world clearly know we are in need to sell. Probably will.
2PAC 4 Blackburn Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Not hard feelings if he goes, totally understand. There's only so much BS he can swallow.
