When you say i won't play for you again do you mean kean or the club because lets face it despite wanting kean out it's samba who completly out of line here. Happy to sign the contract take the extra money yet still crying off at every transfer window could easily have said no to extra money and left himself in a better position to get a move ala junior.

Samba has said respect my decision to leave and think he'll have told Kean i don't want to play anymore whether that be for Kean or Rovers it doesn't matter. He's sick of all the broken promises so no he's not out of order, Rovers (Kean) have pulled the wool over his eyes and now they are doing the same with the fans.

Everyone talks of broken promises like Samba is a fan or something. HE IS NOT A FAN OF BLACKBURN ROVERS!!

He works for the club, nothing more than that. So, even if Kean and the Venky's promissed heaven and are now putting him through hell, he has nothing left to do but work!!

Indeed, Venky's have no obligation to do anything other than abide by the terms of his contract. If he was stupid enough to be duped by their lies then that's his problem, really.

Unfortuantly he has chosen a profession where he can't just chose to up and quit he signed a new deal now he goes when the owners/manager decide we have got a price we are happy with. I will respect his descion if he is allowed to leave at a price fair to his market value by rovers not when he's throwing his toys out the pram and refusing to play like it or not he signed the contract no one held gun to his head.

Ah poor Samba, does his MASSIVE salary not help him sleep at night?? Get over it, its about time the clubs say no to players when they have a hissy fit and demand a move.

+1

The money these people earn is undeserved and bonkers. Its about time people started making examples of people and embaressing them.

They have signed a contract with large pay packets if they dont have the decency to respect it then they should be forced to, they should only leave when the contract runs out or the club decide.

Yeah how dare Samba have any ambition!!!!???? He should be content with Rovers selling their best players apart from him and he should stay with us until his contract runs out when we are in League two.

Or you could see it as we are unlikely to get the best out of him when he wants a move away so the club need to match his ambitions which might make him stay or sell him for a price they see fit.

You seem to forget its not only Rovers who pay footballers great wages, in fact we are probably one of the lowest average wage payers in the PL. SO where ever Samba goes he will earn more, so why should he be content with earning less than what his ability could earn and playing relegation football when he could be playing higher standard and on a better salary?

Oh yeah sorry, because YOU SAY SO

NO! it was a reaction to you using samba as a stick to beat venkys with. I think they have got it right.

On the ambiton side Ive always thought if the right club comes along with a decent bidmthen thats fair enough on the playing side he has served the club well as has been said a thousand times on here.

but daft bids to qpr - i dont think so!

I always thought it was suprising we have kept hold of him for this long, Im actually starting to think he isnt as good as I thought or other clubs dont agree he is. otherwise if top clubs wanted him they would just get him, its never been a problem for them to do it for our players before.

Not true, we pay very competitive wages, if Samba went to Arsenal or Spurs, he would be unlikely to be earning more than he is on now.

Case in point, Phil Jones was offered more to stay at Rovers than he is currently earing at Man United.

Said he wanted out before signing that contract.

Signed that contract.

Says he wants out the under a year of signing the contract.

At some point in the middle of all that (I don't know exactly when) he changed his agent because he wasn't getting a move. Now he is pushing to get a move under this agent, using methods he had not yet tried under his previous agent.

Looks to me he had his eyes on the pay rise and also a move away, which is fine and legal, but the club don't have to sell. That is also fine and legal.

As far as I can see the only respect goes to the club, as it is the player who is seeking to leave the contract, and Rovers have not broken the contract. Now they may indeed sell, but if they don't, fine. If then the player refuses to play or underperforms because of that, a lot of respect will rightly be lost for him. I don't believe he will though, since his performances have been exemplary in the past even with his difficulties. That doesn't earn him a move though. Especially when nobody good enough actually wants to buy him.

no problem with him wanting to leave but only at a time and for how much the club say he's refusing to play for the club that have made him a very wealthy man now he owes us nothing as hes not a fan but he still has to do his job and unfortunatly he owes his employers some work just like anyone.

And are you seriously suggesting that rovers should sell him for around 4 mil with add ons like the only club who have bid have offered you might hate the venkys but as soon as they sell him on the cheap like you want you'll go mad at that.

well to blow most theories out of the water I now believe he will stay with QPR getting Onuoha it seems as though that now kills off Qpr getting him and with Redknapp in court that problem is taken care off and with scrooge Wenger he will never offer anything near what we would expect so the only team that is left is PSG but I get the impression they would have got him if they really wanted him by now so with no forthcoming bids it really is tough s*** he would be best advised to get his nut down and keep this team up and if he doesn't like it he can damn well lump it cos throwing a hissy fit will mean no top club will bid for him in the summer fact!.

He signed a contract last year. Thats where the problem is. We were fighting a relegation battle back then and he signed. He knew that there was a reasonable chance that we'd be here 12 months down the line so to try and demand a transfer now by citing his 'ambition' to play for a bigger club, well that's tough. He signed the contract whilst Venkys were in charge and Kean was manager. That is his fault. No sympathy from me. In different circumstances I'd feel sorry for the bloke but he should have seen this scenario coming 12 months ago.

Didn't he sign it after believing the ambitions plans of the new owners? Plans which have never even come close to being realised.

That would put a different perspective on it for me.

Kean was saying last January that we had really exciting times ahead and the players were exited by the plans of the club moving forward (in relation to the contract extensions) - I remember it vividly.....
