Feel sorry for them?

Brilliant. They are playing in the best league in the world (according to Sky anyway), with the best wages in the world but unprofessional owners.

Jesus ffffing Christ. What an awful situation to be in? They must cry themselves to sleep at night wondering where it all went wrong.

They are called transfer requests for a reason, it's called a request because it is a question and it can be denied. Hence the high wages.

Our own fans queuing up the deride the name of Blackburn Rovers, of whom Samba is an employee (not Venky's).

FFS.

Dont no how anyone could say QPR is a step up, from there entire squad maybe barton would get in our team other than that we have better players man for man.

Club on the up, ambitious owner with money, very good manager. Compare and contrast with the shambles at Ewood.

Moving there makes sense for Samba and is better option than Spurs in my opinion.

Maybe, but not for long, though. Decent manager, owner with cash who is keen to be involved. (That's QPR, by the way, just to clarify).

QPR are definitely on the up, and we're most certainly in a stuka-type dive.

Samba may have previous for signing contracts and then not being happy, but he's still gotten on with the job. His contention is that he signed his latest contract under false pretences from the owners and he's determined to go. In this instance, I really can't blame him.

Clearly, after going public, it's going to be very difficult for him to play for the first team again. It's best for all concerned for him to go if/when a suitable bid comes in.

They are clearly going to invest during this window and with Hughes in charge the chances of them getting relegated are very slim to none. Rovers on the other hand will be battling relegation right until the end of the season.

QPR are a step up from Rovers at present, I don't see how anyone can say that's not the case. It just shows how far we have fallen in the space of just over a year.

This could go on and on but clearly the agent was acting on behalf of and with the collusion of his/her client. Samba as well as being an excellent Centre Half has also been a pain in the arse.

As I said we'll have to agree to disagree.

Lets not forget this is a player who is the club captain and paid handsomely, if reports are to be believed £3m per year. So obviously money isnt the issue here.

To blame Samba, those fans are failing big time to see the bigger picture and the problems we currently have at the club under Kean and Venky's.

Players have held the upper hand since the abolition of the maximum wage in the 1960s and smaller feeder clubs like Rovers just have to live with it. We'll miss his commanding presence and his departure could cost us in some matches (the last 5 mins at Everton were a good example when they had 3 or 4 free headers) but the club should just sell him and supporters should move on. Good player but standing in his way as the owners are doing at present benefits no one.

Yes of course life will go on ,We`ve had a glimpse of that in the last couple of games. The thing is Samba should be allowed to leave at the price the club decides. Its easy for him he won`t lose anything in the way of income but we will, That extra 6mill could be used to keep the wolves away or to improve the team. Players greed is destroying the game and the clubs are only "enabling" them by giving in to their every dummy spit.If he is so adamant he only stayed because of certain promises then he should have had them written into his contract in the form of a release clause.

Not anymore, we are merely an arm of Venkys. Albeit an arm suffering serious nerve damage.

We thought our owners were going to spend big, all QPR have achieved this window is two loan players, they might get the wigan boys but even then still think there squad overall lacks quality.

The whole debate is a side issue. Because unless someone can tell me otherwise no one has offerered the 10 million asking price? So Samba can stamp his feet as much as he wants but until someone bids a reasonable amount for him he will stay.

He'll be sold at a reduced price.

Can you see Venky's wanting to pay Samba full-whack while he sulks on the sidelines?

if you take both squads at the end of this window i would say rovers have a better 11 and a more strength in depth. So until the summer i would say he more chance of staying in the prem at rovers.

I won't get into a debate over whether that is true or not, but I will say that it's irrelevant whilst QPR have Mark Hughes and we have Steve Kean in charge. That alone gives QPR a better chance.

Difference being that during the previous instances he got his head down and gave 100% commitment to the club after it was clear he wasn't going anywhere. With what's gone on during the past few weeks with the transfer request and yesterday's interview it's different this time.

It's clear to me that there are only one of two possible outcomes:

1- Samba stays and rots in the reserves.

2- Samba is sold.

If he is being genuine in his interview and in his desire to move then there is no chance he will play for the first team again.

First of all, Onuoha is a full transfer, no loan.

Secondly, if we'd have brought Onuoha & Taiwo in this window, 99% of this MB would be orgasmic.

Sorry, remind just who we have signed, hmmm, Modeste and possibly Sutter - enough said !

Don't get fooled by samba. He's been wanting out for ages. He didnt get sold last January, and then he signed lucrative deal. He didn't get fooled by venkys promises, he could have waited with signing a new deal, or he could have signed a shorter contract. But he wanted the fat paycheck

So he signed a 5 year deal, which basically means that he has given venkys 5 years to prove their ambition. I'm totally fine with him wanting to leave, but not for that price. I will Rather have him rot with the reserves than accepting that price.

Remember we paid 5-6 millions for dann (pluss addons), and every pundit thought we had done a bargain.

Samba is far better, and worth more. He was voted as one of the top 5 centre half last year by Norwegian media.

If its really all about ambition i challenge samba. Chip in your last 12 months paycheck; reported as aprox 3 mill in transfer fee. Then we get close to 10 mill. Oh then will you show that it is truly all about playing for a club with ambitions.

I am totally shocked that some fans actually take sambas side. He's greedy and only thinks about himself. He's no leader and never should have been made captain

So, really, it doesn't change diddly squat as regards to what I said.

QPR won't go down with Hughes, who is a quality manager who knows how to organise a team.

Whereas Rovers may be marginally ahead in terms of squad quality (but that is a point of debate), have a dip-stick for a manager, squad unrest, players treated despicably by the owners, fans up in arms, broken promises, a lack of organisational structure and no hint of things turning around.

But you're right, QPR's squad isn't quite as good as our's for the next 5 months or so, so Samba's wrong to want to leave.

As you were.

Quotes from the "despicable individual".

I ``I signed a new deal last January because Venky's told me they had big plans. Names like Ronaldinho were mentioned and they promised there was going to be a lot of investment in the team. It hasn't happened.

``They don't understand football in this country and they don't realise how much I've given to Blackburn and that they have broken promises they have made. I stayed because I believed them but they weren't honest with me and now I know I made the wrong decision.

``I share the frustration of the fans who must have believed the owners too.''

Samba might as well be speaking for Rovers fans with those quotes. Are Rovers fans "despicable" too ?

Samba is not the hero here. He's consistently backed the owners and told the fans to shut up. Now it's in his financial interests to break free of the Rovers, he's adopting the talking points of the fans to put pressure on the owners and force a move.

He has 4 years left on his contract. I would play hard ball. Loan him out to various non-PL outfits to save his wages and other than that, not sell until I got every penny of the 15 million.

The word "despicable" has been bandied around here and that certainly applies to the treatment of Salgado.

Agreed. Salgado kept his integrity, unlike Samba and others. There is no denying he is past it, but he deserved to be treated better.

If samba wants to leave fine... BUT at the price THE CLUB decide he is worth AND at a time the club can afford to let him go. This disgraceful public saga is making him look like a spoilt brat who wants his own way and is not prepared to wait for an acceptable time for both parties! He should be ashamed, samba needs to take a long hard look in te mirror... Keep us up and leave in the summer you self centred idiot!

It is folly for one second believe that Samba will ever play for us to his full capabilities ever again.

The Judas has been turned to the darkside by those insidious and despicable vermin known as agents, who, to judge from the notions expounded by theologians, one must conclude that God created simply with a view to crowding hell.

Robinson

Onuoha Dann Givet Taiwo

That would be a hell of a defence!

To be fair, being dignified is easy when you're at a club that is probably above the level of your ability. Same goes for Roberts.

If Salgado was here aged 27 and in this situation would he be doing the same? Almost certainly not.
