Aren't you the guy who refered (refers?) to the members of the Walker trust as "trusties"?

Now I don't really care about that, but if you are to criticize someone else's spelling, it's a good idea to make sure yours is up to par first.

I only responded because of his pathetic little dig at me for no reason. As this was not the first time.

Let's hope the Hughes rumour is true but I doubt it. Hughes would see us better off with 10 million than Kean will with 50. Kamy, have you heard anything?

I think this is just a delayed rumour in response to the odds of Hughes becoming our manager shortening the other day...

Where's this rumour started,Albion st?

Perhaps nobody from above sees fit to even respond to it. Kean is getting on with his job by the looks of things and Hughes will be going on to bigger things, whenever that might be. He won't be responding to every internet rumour.

I meant by an in the know messageboard member as opposed to an actual statement from the club.

Of course it would be absolutely astounding for Venky's to get something right in their disastrous tenure at Ewood.

for that reason alone, the appointment of Hughes is an impossibility.

Nothing like a bit of drama queen action at lunchtime is there?

Disastrous? Oh yeah, the clubs gone to the wall. We got relegated and all our players left. The training ground has been sold off for use as a sewer farm. The ground has been sold off and renamed The Venkys Chicken Fried Chicken Legs For All Stadium. All of the clubs staff have left, not just a couple at the top. Jack's statue has been replaced by a large stuffed chicken. All the fans have been advised to support Burnley and thus 99% committed suicide.

Yep, disastrous.

I don't think they have the courage to do it. Even if it would be the right thing to do. A certain agent would not be happy for kean to be replaced. So hughes coming, very unlikely.

  • 4 weeks later...

Thought i'd bump this back up with all the new rumours flying around.

Does anyone actually believe them?

Because i certainly don't.

Being my birthday today, this would be the best present anybody could ever give me!!!!! sadly i won't be getting my hopes up because i can't see it happening.

the big clue could be if Steve Kean goes ahead with his scheduled interview on SSN later today or not

Little bird has just told me (said it's straight from the horse's mouth) that Steve Kean is to be relieved of his duties and Mr Hughes is to return as Blackburn Rovers manager.

Take it or leave it.

so you've just been told whats been on the message bored for the last umpteen hours then lol?

I don't even want to think of the possibility of this being true, it would show the Venkys making a genius move and Hughes would not come unless he had money to spend probably a lot.

Too perfect.

Won't happen, thats the best way to look at it

Its a very easy, very lazy rumour to start, one circulated knowing the vast majority of rovers fans would jump on it and welcome him back with open arms like the messiah. The club are in a worse state than Hughes left and would arguably be quite a backwards step for him. I cannot see it happening at all.

Whilst it would be good - I can't see it happening at all. Seems to good to be true!

Also if Kean wasn't there and money was available would Hughes return? Given that he left us to manage a bigger club and then left Fulham in a similar style I think it would look too much like he was scuttling back with his tail between his legs than a triumphant return!

Looking at the way Venkys have treated Allardyce, Williams & Co, who in their right mind would want to come to Ewood?

Hughes got totally shafted by the richest club in the world. I seriously doubt he`d let a bunch of chicken farmers do the same to him.

I like Hughes & would love him to return, but he`s his own man & won`t be a puppet for a bunch of clowns

If Hughes came back I'd question his judgement more than Venky's. Kean wasn't the answer clearly, but he isn't the problem at the moment. If we have no funds then it hardly matters whether Hughes is on board. Quite like it to happen but I cannot see it for a minute.

I want to know why he walked away from Fulham.
