Backroom Tom Posted June 23, 2011 Backroom Posted June 23, 2011 Click Lancashire says we are after Rangers American midfielder Maurice Edu http://www.clicklanc...ers-fc-ace.html Doubt it's true but does anyone know much about him?

Drakefyre Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 From seeing him play with the USA national team, he's an athletic, solid midfielder without standing out in any one particular facet of the game. Decent passer, decent tackler, can go box to box, pops up with some goals.
USRoverME Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 He's a slightly less useful version of JJ. Good effort type guy, but not an upgrade over JJ, N'zonzi, but I'd rate him over Andrews! As soon as Holden from Bolton gets over his latest injury, I'd not be surprised to see Edu off the full strength USA NT, actually.
AmazinTim Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 He's very decent, nothing remarkable, I'm happy to see him come in as a sub for the US team, and content with him starting. For Rovers, eh, he wouldn't be bad, at the very least he should be another barrier between Andrews and the pitch.
mode_m Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 He used to play here in Toronto, he was one of the best players on the team (does not say very much) but I was surprised to see him go to Rangers. I think he is a little over rated.
RoyRover Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 The guy is average at best. And that's by Scottish standards. He would add nothing to our team.
