I am really looking forward to it as a Rovers fan and as my role at Morecambe. Be a good chance to see our squad and also a good money spinner for the Shrimps. Accy and Morecambe's fans have good relations and a lot of close links as both sides do with Rovers.

Seems a lot of fans from all clubs are looking forward to it, all 3 sides are in transition with staff/players coming and going so a lot of interest all round.

Thanks for the directions. I'm guessing the nearest proper pub is the William Mitchell (assuming it's still there) ?

I know that part of time very well. Worked several seasons behind the bar at the Regency and went to Heysham High :)

Looking forward to a night out in Lancaster afterwards.

Yeah the William Mitchell is the closest pub and I think they welcome away fans. Another popular pub is the York hotel (closer to the centre, on York bridge) they often put a spread on and run minibuses to the ground. The ll seems very friendly and it has always been the main spot for home and away fans to meet for a drink.

If you go on www.shrimpsvoices.co.uk I am sure there will be plenty of folk making plans for before the game.

Not guilty!

All I did was provide beers and taxis (both where I shouldn't).

But that was a top day. However as we've all grown up a bit and I'll be driving up from Stanley, it won't be half as messy.

However, people have suggest a night out in Lancaster afterwards :tu:

Fond memories of that day!!

Hopefully get up there :-)

I haven't done this for a few years (as it started to attract some of the club's knuckle draggers) but as it's a pre-season ... If you want to come and meet a few of the BRFCS members then head to the William Mitchell (on Westgate, 10 mins walk from the ground, head away from the sea front) before the game (and probably head to Lancaster after the game).

If you end up in Lancaster let me know which pub :tu:

Solve both our problems and drive us both up there Andy :P Just kidding I'll let you know if I decide to drive up.

Hopefully a couple of decent squads and maybe even an appearance from my favourite Player A.Trialist.

There are home made gourmet pies and also Potts pies, both the home made and Potts are award winners. Last season they were 2.20 & 2.60, pints are standard football price really about 2.80-3.00 ish. There is also pasta, pie & mash and other stuff available.

The pre game meal and seating deals are really reasonable should anyone fancy them.

That's for a table of ten people ain't it? So 30 each

£270 for a table of ten.

Just out of interest will people be going on the terraces or seats? Shame you can't go between the 2 areas as some may find 2 games too long to stand for.

Wonder if we'll sell out.

Planning on making it a mystery tour for my family. Only problem is the weather forecast suggests it is going to absolutely waz it down on Saturday. Hoping to go via train to Lancaster change then Morecambe. £23 for all four of us, which sure beats buying fuel and parking etc.

Its well worth it fellas, seats are pretty much on the halfway line, access to the private bar, etc. Food is top drawer, award winning infact lol.

Is the bar open between the matches any idea? It says Buffet food, any idea what kinda thing it normally is?

The bar is open before, during, between and after games TCO, I havent seen the menu for saturday but if it says buffet I expect it will be gourmet pies and that sort of thing and no doubt some Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps in there somewhere, on a normal matchday its a 3 course meal with various choices on offer. I would have thought the buffet is down to being two games on in such a short space of time and the logistics of it. If you ring the club they will no doubt be able to tell you whats on, hospitality isnt my area really sorry.

It is a shame TCO that people cant go between stands which we have done in years gone by but unfortunately its the police who have insisted on the arrangements being as they are. Accy fans are alongside the pitch as oppossed to being behind one of the goals so at least Rovers get the choice of seats or terracing.
