Sandiway Blue Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Might mosey up to this one with the lad,as he is only 10 years old he has never stood on terracing so it will give him an idea what it used to be like.

Sandiway Blue Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Yeah, he won't see sweet FA. He can find a low wall with some railings to stand on like i did...
roversmum Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 He can find a low wall with some railings to stand on like i did... Or a convenient tree. I hear Nicko has practice in masquerading as a tree. Perhaps he might oblige.
heysham rover Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Stu Wilky - Yes there are bars availabe behind the goals for fans on the terracing and a concourse bar for Rovers fans who purchase seats. The terracing has a decent gradient on it and as far as I am aware there havent been any complaints about line of sight etc, the area behind the away stand is a bit tight but there are areas to stand behind there and have your pint etc. My main concern at the moment is trying to cadge a new shirt, may prove more difficult than normal as there doesnt seem to be many friendly faces or anyone with any form of clue at the club at the moment. Tom and Andrew are very very sorely missed from an oppo teams point of view, its like herding cats.
Sandiway Blue Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Or a convenient tree. I hear Nicko has practice in masquerading as a tree. Perhaps he might oblige. I believe he`s been branching out into espionage.....
Backroom Tom Posted July 14, 2011 Backroom Posted July 14, 2011 Do people think we'll sell our allocation? Just wondered how early we'd need to be there if we were going up
Glenn Posted July 14, 2011 Author Posted July 14, 2011 HR, is there a bar for fans who are on the terrace? .... or do we have to make our own again. Morecambe still has a BYOB policy right (Sorry, In joke).
des Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 well all beibng well me and my 9 year old daughter are going from nelson how long does it take to get there as we want to go in the stand, and we might need to get there early
Guest Rovers4Good Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Think there'll be a mixed bag of players and i don't think he'll risk them all. If the game against Oldham is anything to go by then you're probably better off staying at home and watching the golf. lol
pancini Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 With there being 2 games on Saturday do you think it will be 2 completely different squads for both games or perhaps 1 large squad playing half of each game
des Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 can anyone in the know let us know what type of teams will be playing ie mainly first team or a lot of second teams player etc
Mike Graham Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Can't be bothered going, off to the pub instead
cn174 Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 can anyone in the know let us know what type of teams will be playing ie mainly first team or a lot of second teams player etc I think it will be two mixed teams, first team and some youngsters, much like what they did last summer vs Southport and Fleetwood.
Alan75 Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 BRING YOUR COATS. It's been raining all night and currently (8am) its pouring down. Forecast heavy rain until mid day then showers
Captain Spaulding Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 I live in London, will it be on EuroSport?
Glenn Posted July 16, 2011 Author Posted July 16, 2011 Ha ha ha .... a joke that will be lost on many of our newer members. Anyways. Depending on Wifi/sobriety/apathy I'll try and send updates from Morecambe. BTW If you're going, do come and say Hi
cn174 Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 BRING YOUR COATS. It's been raining all night and currently (8am) its pouring down. Forecast heavy rain until mid day then showers Accy fans are going to be very wet, least we have a roof!
AggyBlue Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 BTW If you're going, do come and say Hi You'll have a name badge on will you.
heysham rover Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Just got the ground now to start whats gonna be a long day and the weather is erm disgusting. Accy fans need to bring their brollies, just a little side note on directions, as you come into Morecambe past McDonalds there is a sign saying follow city centre for Football, ignore this and at the roundabout follow signs for West End/Promedade.
AggyBlue Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 You going Paul? Yeah, eldest lad too, if I can wake him
Ozz Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Good luck with that! Today could be up there with Deepdale last year and Oldham a few years ago for wettest pre-season away friendly of all time.
