chaddyrovers Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 http://mobile.newsnow.co.uk/A/507197818?- He would be a good signing for us. Steve Kean must convice him that rovers are the right club for him and rovers are going to be challenging for Europe this season.
patrickvalery Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 He would be a good signing for us. Steve Kean must convice him that rovers are the right club for him and rovers are going to be challenging for Europe this season. He'll do very well to convince him of that. Maybe he could just play him the Granada TV interview with Balji. If Robbie Keane agrees that we 'deserve' to win a cup too then the deal might happen!
BPF Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 He would be a good signing for us. Steve Kean must convice him that rovers are the right club for him and rovers are going to be challenging for Europe this season. Surely you are not serious Chaddy? We'd have to have a tiny bid accepted for Keane before signing him...

chaddyrovers Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 He'll do very well to convince him of that. Maybe he could just play him the Granada TV interview with Balji. If Robbie Keane agrees that we 'deserve' to win a cup too then the deal might happen! very true. didn't Balaji say top 8 finish and a cup win. If you want this Balaji, then let Kean and Rovers spend some serious cash and buy some quality players!!! Surely you are not serious Chaddy? We'd have to have a tiny bid accepted for Keane before signing him... I'm not serious at all BPF, I was just repeating what Kean and Balaji have said in the summer. We will not get into the top half unless we buy a Proven Goalscorer before the season starts. We have not had a goalscorer since RSC and Benni. This is the reason we were fighting relegation last season plus one or 2 other reasons. Kalinic could be that player but I don't think He will play under Kean because of problems between both of them.
dew22 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 MLS bloggers saying he's headed to L.A. Galaxy? https://twitter.com/#!/SoccerByIves
Blackburn Ravers Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 on SkySports - http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_7096226,00.html
Backroom Tom Posted August 12, 2011 Backroom Posted August 12, 2011 To be fair LA Galaxy is his boyhood club.
philipl Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Spuds started asking £8m and are selling for £1.5m
TheNews Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Keane's transfer value is $3.6m or about £2.2m Problem is we would never had paid him the salary he wanted whereas LA Galaxy have He was on £55k a week at spuds and still had 2 years left on his contract so in theory spuds have not only got £2m+ for him they have now saved £5.7m in wages over the next 2 years There business with Keane is quite interesting really Bought him from Leeds for £7m, sold him to 'Pool for £20m resigned him for £12m then sold again for £2 making a £3m profit on a player transfers that scored over 100 goals for them. Levy is no mug Next
Nelsta Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 The guy on skysports news, Robbie Keane said "I've always wanted to play in the MLS" Good old Keane!
Ricky Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Sky are saying the fee was £5.85m on their skysports app. Seems quite high if that's the case.
Kelbo Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Sky are saying the fee was £5.85m on their skysports app. Seems quite high if that's the case. Honestly feel he is past his sell by date!!
jim mk2 Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 . Levy is no mug We stitched up Levy for about £17m with Bentley - I'll bet he's having sleepless nights over that one !
Ricky Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 They'd do well to get £4m for him now Jim. Their only chance of getting a decent fee is sending him out on loan and hoping he does better than he did at Birmingham last season.
Billy Castell Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Didn't realise he had actually gone. That was a quick move. He'll do well over there, as it is quite a weak league, though it is getting better.
roverandout Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 could really do with him at rovers now, shame, another player we have missed out on.
brian_gallagher85 Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 I hope Trappatoni replaces him with Long at international level now. With the Euros just around the corner I though he would have moved to a club like Rovers for this season and would have wanted to impress I guess I was right about him all along with this move.
philipl Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Sounds like Spurs could get up to £3m for him. Hope the Americans appreciate his cowboys and Indians goal celebrations (if scores any).
Ricky Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Looks like he might still have a bit to offer eh Phil??
