Clitherover Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Snap their hands off, he's found his level in the Championship and is not a Premiership player as we've already seen.
Pitty Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 From what i have seen of our midfield this season i would welcome Andrews back with open arms and give him a starting place in central midfield and get Andwews on the back of my top.

Keith Andrews would do a hell of a better job than either of our central midfielders from Sunday (messrs Dunn and Pedersen) the game completely passed them by and i know for a fact that Keith would not allow to happen! disgrace the way our fans treated him

Really? I'd say we've got our fill of midfielders who stand around and not do a lot.
Scott18 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Keith is wanted by 4 clubs and Rovers have decided they are going to let him go for nothing. WHY?
Roberto Policano Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Keith is wanted by 4 clubs and Rovers have decided they are going to let him go for nothing. WHY? Agree at least try and get a few quid, why would those clubs want him though, very average player.
mjwood00 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I would imagine there's more chance of him being in the EPL than we are next season. Should please the boo boys.

FFS; If we can get money for the guy who no longer wants to play for us, then let's get it. Especially if the Venky's funds are limited. [sorry; who said that?!]
den Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 The answer to our problems isn't to bring back KA. Goodness me.
Amo Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Apparently four clubs are interested in him, including Everton. Why are we letting him go for free if there's so much interest?
AHoyle90 Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 I cant believe people think Andrews is better than Dunn and Pedersen, give me a break! Shouldn't be going on a free, though.
Torgeir Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 He is good enough as a squad player until May, unless we get some money in for him that we can re-invest (I wish).
neophox Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Keith Andrews is nothing for Rovers and has never been, even Gamst and Dunn would shine in the nationwide....
Stuart Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Keith Andrews is nothing for Rovers and has never been, even Gamst and Dunn would shine in the nationwide.... Let's hope so!
bigbrandjohn Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 It was always on the cards that a quality player like keith would never sign for us.good luck to the lad,he gave his all here scored 9 goals and wore the armband with pride and determation.we dont have a captain at this club and i`d find it hard to find a leader here, there all in care homes or collecting high wages for nothing.lets hope a few of the young lads play saturday to prove a point.!this is your big chance as i doubt we will be getting any quality players during the transfer window. Courtesy of an Ipswich Town Forum. Keith has always been a committed player. He has done very well with Town and although it is the Championship, plenty of players have stepped up and continued their form. We need a workhorse with passion. Let's banish any negative thoughts and welcome him back as a currently free scoring International. Someone who may assist our hapless midfield situation.
RTM08 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 At least Andrews would play with all his heart, even Dunny doesn't do that and he's supposed to be Rovers born and bred.
dopper69 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 This thread makes for some funny reading following all the stick that was given to Andrews when he was here! Have we really sunk that low as a club?
joey_big_nose Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 To be honest Keith must be p!ssing himself laughing and who can blame him? The fans who gave him so much unfair abuse are seeing their team go down with worse midfieders than him. From his perspective he won't give a toss that it was a minority who booed him.
ada2020 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 The guys ###### useless, don't give a toss how much amusement he gets out of our current situation. Wouldn't hand him a rovers shirt ever again, utter dross. Never fit to wear the shirt, runs like a girl, can't tackle can't pass, simply useless.
Parsonblue Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Andrews has proved at Ipswich that he can operate exceptionally well in the Championship. As this is where we are likely to be next season it seems stupid to get rid of him now. In a few months time he will be the type of player we will be looking to sign.

Where exactly are Ipswich in the league? Might be scoring goals at a lower level, but not much else!

In a few months time he will be the type of player we will be looking to sign. But he's on Premier League wages. If we can get rid of him then we need to do it, he'd be a very expensive player to have in the Championship.
